Streets of Fandom; Thursday [ 06/04 ].
The lunch that Daisy and DiNozzo had planned yesterday had oh so handwavily not actually come to fruition. Daisy would have much preferred to have walked, if anything figuring that the stroll would do her good, but the novelty of the rickshaws had seemed stuck in DiNozzo's head a bit, and so they flagged on down and there was a lot of jostling and bumping which seemed to lead to a lot of touching and groping and they ended up walking. Right into MHA and into Daisy's apartment for the remainder of their lunch break.
So Daisy had broken one of her cardinal sins, sleeping with a coworker, which she'd only broken once before and that was entirely by accident, as she'd met the fellow outside of work first, only to discover a week later that they were in the same police training group. So she called first dibs on patrolling today, not wanting to stick around the station and be all awkward, and having a very intense drive to serve Justice to make up for the infraction. There wasn't a lot of crime in this town, no, but she was determined that if any of it was going on today, she was going to find it.
...She had to.
She got ready for a nice street beat with Ralph, glanced over, and found herself commenting, "You know, I never really noticed before how well that armour really showcases your bum..."
She wondered how she really hadn't noticed before. And she did have a bit of a thing for clo--
Daisy very firmly slapped herself in the face. She shook her head. She thought about a cold shower and Margaret Thatcher naked on a cold day. And before Ralph could make the comment she knew he was thinking about her bum, she said, "Right, then. Let's start dockside and head around from there..."

He wasn't really watching where he was going, just striding down the street desperately trying to figure out something he needed to do.

And then shook her head, reminded herself that she was in uniform here, on her job, and the only reason she was saying hello was to be proper and polite. It wasn't like she could stay and chat (or...well, she wasn't thinking about chatting, exactly); she had double justice serving duty to take care of out of repentance.
"Hullo, Max." She'd meant to make it all formal and neutral as she nodded a greeting, but it came out all friendly and warm, with a light smile, overtaken by the part of her that was always glad to see him, because any time she saw him usually lead to...
...oh, bullocks.

"Hullo, yourself, Daisy." Wait... She was wearing a uniform. Which meant. Oh.
He blinked, smile faltering just a second, before he realized that he quite honestly didn't care if she were a cop. Or technically working now. He had... other things on his mind.

Her stomach twisted a little, as she'd never disrespected a uniform so much in her life, and yet she was far too charged to really care as much as she should. She sucked in a breath, resolving very firmly to stick to the job.
"Nice day, innit?" she asked, hands tucked behind her to keep herself proper and not thinking about all the nice little things her fingers could be doing right now. "Haven't seen any laws being broken, by chance, have you?"
A bit...direct of a crime-fighting tactic, perhaps, but with what she was thinking right now, she felt the need to reinstate Justice pronto.

"Nothing that I've seen." He should have left it at that, but he couldn't help a quick grin and an additional "Yet."

So she made a note to herself to get on that whole rubber cuffs thing straight away when she got back to the office, swelling a little with pride over the pure, work-related thought that would also give her something to do other than be awkward around DiNozzo.

He grinned a grin that might well be described as 'wicked'. "But I'm pretty sure that there are some sort of public propriety laws in town." Then, in case that was too subtle: "And I'm thinking about doing something that would... violate those."

The warnings of her common sense were duly ignored.
"I have to know," she said, looking up at Max with a faint smirk. "It's my job."
Damn it.

He leaned in closer, "Do you require more details, ma'am?"

"Pushing me against a wall," Daisy noted, "could also be used as a charge for attacking an officer on duty...Max."
It would also be kind of hot. She paused, because she realized that she didn't actually think she knew him by anything more formal than just...Max.
no subject
Which... would probably be pretty hot in turn. He already knew Daisy was wickedly (in many senses of the word) imaginative, after all.
Max stepped in closer. Before he'd been encroaching on her personal space, and now? He was aiming for something a lot closer to 'full-scale invasion'.

"My apologies, Detective Constable Day," he flashed another grin. "And I don't mind at all. In fact, I was thinking we could probably do something about that whole 'being in uniform' problem."
no subject
Not that Justice actually took lunch breaks, but it could probably wait for half an hour, all the same.
no subject
"Then, Detective Constable, would you care to join me...?" In this nice, quiet alley? For lunch, of course!

She'd hate herself for that one later, but, right now, she was too busy taking a hold of Max's shirt to pull him into the nearest alley. As well as wee tiny Daisy could pull bug, muscly, strong, muscly, big, muscly Max, anyway. She figured he would give her some help with that.
