Pixie Dust, Friday 6-12
Jenny was crankier than usual when she opened Pixie Dust today. Something to do with getting dragged out of her bed at two in the morning. Clearly she was getting out of practice.
Rainwear was displayed prominently, a few hours too late to do anyone any good. Pixie Dust was open

She glanced over to racks filled with dresses, and the girly part of herself that she'd thought she buried when she returned to the family estate cried for them. She firmly told it to shut up, and waited for Emma to arrive, prowling about the store in something akin to wonder.

"Now, what do you think you need? Are you just wanting to 'fit in', or do you have wardrobe gaps you need to fill?"

That expression she was wearing? So was not crying 'Help!'

"Alright," she said, also nabbing a few tops. "Start picking up anything that suits your fancy, darling. We can try it all on, and narrow it down from there."

"Ummm...are these items okay?" she asked, hesitantly, showing Emma a few shirts and more pants. "Is there anything here that you like? For you, I mean."

Professional shoplifter as of late, technically, but Emma had spent many pleasurable hours actually shopping before her change. She'd pay for stuff on the island, of course, just because it was stupid to push her luck where she lived.

She grabbed some basics in various styles, as well as some cute options. "Generally, a bra will hook in the back, and should provide decent support when you move."

Possibly TMI, and not entirely true, but Emma did own a number of bras for various occasions, depending on how distracting she needed her clevage to be.
"Besides, you're still a growing girl, and that means you're going to wake up one day in desperate need of a good bra. Better we get you started now, so you know what to look for later."

She looked at a few of the bras that Emma had given her. "I guess I'll try these on, then," she said, heading into the dressing room. Moments later, there came the sounds of muffled cusing and a fair bit of struggling.

"Do you need a hand?" she called, stepping out to twirl in front of the tri-fold mirror.
no subject
"...Maybe."

"Okay, one way to put it on is backwards," she said, picking up one of the bras. "You literally hook it in front, then slide it around on your body until it's in the right position," she continued, miming it over her shirt. "Then you pull up the straps. See?"
"Or you put it on like you did, and reach around the back. Just slide your fingers along until you find the row of eyes. Then it's just a matter of snapping the hooks into place after a few tries."

Technically, that was Karla in the mirror. But it was an older, prettier version of herself than she'd ever seen. Though the clothing was nothing like she'd wear in Glacia, she almost thought she saw a bit of her mother in her face.

She reached for the door, planning to slip out and try on something else. "Put on the next one," she urged. "We'll try them all, and then find some more."

That meant no.

"And really, darling, there is nothing wrong with 'indecent'. Just think how boring everything would be if everyone were proper."

What she was really trying to say is that skirts were dangerous. Except people wore skirts all the time here. Even males sometimes. And she'd kind of missed them. And she did have a nice occasion coming up...
"All right," she allowed grudgingly. "A few probably won't kill me." Hopefully.
