The Magic Box, Monday

"No, Max. You cannot have my room! ... no, I haven't moved out!" Alex rolled her eyes as she opened up the shop.

"Yes Max, I will be coming home at some point. There are things called holidays, you know." Really, Max. Alex would've laughed if he was joking. She knew he wasn't, though. "My room is off limits Max, okay? ... good. Talk to you later."

Hanging up, Alex flopped down behind the counter and may have facepalmed a couple of times. Brothers.

Harper made a point of stopping by the Magic Box, and this time, she brought iced coffees from The Perk. "I'm not sure about you, but I figured caffeine is a necessary thing for Mondays," she said.

"At least we didn't have another fire drill on a Sunday night," Harper pointed out, handing one of the coffees to Alex.

"If we had, I'm not sure I would've made it into work today," Alex half-joked. She accepted the coffee from Harper, nodding her thanks before taking a sip.

"Same here with my second period class," said Harper. "Though Tuesdays are worse. SAT Prep first thing in the morning..."
