Caritas - Wednesday Evening

Excuse Penelope this evening. She was just four glasses into the bottle of scotch she'd opened when she first came in. Her week thus far demanded her brain be free tonight. It was quite nice, actually.

Tino put a pina colada before her thinking to take her bottle of scotch. Penelope snorted at him, giving him a look. He backed off slowly and went back to mopping behind the counter. Just down a good few feet from her.

She bopped her head to the music. That pina colada song wasn't have bad.

Scotch was better though.

Caritas is open.

"Coming right up!" she announced to the whole bar. She poured him a tall glass of scotch. "One'll never be'nuff, Hurley Bear. Cheers!" She totally attempted to cling her glass against his.

Hurley instantly told himself he couldn't actually drink, cause he was going to have to take care of her.

"Actually, I think I'll have my usual, instead."

Penelope totally pouted, crossing her arms across her chest and everything. "That's not fair." She added a little finger point. And wiggled it back and forth.

"Well you'll waste this here glass I already fixed for you," she pointed out.

"Oooh, but it's okay. I can drink it." She nodded and reached for it.

Hurley almost facepalmed. "You, uhhh, okay, Penelope?" he said, even though the answer was obvious.

"Shouldn't worry," she shook her head, lowering her eyes from his. "I'm fine. Just fine." She filled him a glass of Coke and didn't notice a good amount that sloshed over the rim. "So how's your day been, uh? Seduction was crazy let me tell you."

Delicious, if a little tart. It probably could have stood to ripen a little longer, but I've got little kinds in the neighborhood who kept eyeing it. Which is why I didn't get to eat the second strawberry I grew.
