Groovy Tunes, Saturday [6/20]

Hurley, being the work horse that he is, opened up Groovy Tunes punctually. He was actually kind of psyched, since he had the promise of at least one cool customer.

He fed Prince Oscar Pedro, and then put on today's mix: All Vitamin String Quartet, All the Time.

String quartet music could seriously rock.

Groovy Tunes was open.

[ooc: The post will be likewise, after OCD The post is open!]

Karla was in a significantly better mood this morning than yesterday afternoon. She'd slept the night before, which helped immensely, and the talk with Ender and her date with Leda had pushed all the painful memories back below the surface where they belonged.

"Kiss kiss," she called as she practically bounced into the store. The right store, it should be noted. And she'd had no problems getting here. "Hurley, your map was priceless!"

"Considering I did not get hopelessly lost this time, I'm counting it as a win," Karla said, grinning. "And now that I've experienced your cartography skills firsthand, I'm hoping you'll lend me your musical expertise as well."

"I did," Karla affirmed. "I owe Ender a Kaeleeran dancing lesson, and your classical music seems to be the closest fit to the music apprpriate to learning." She explained some of the music she'd already found, and ways that Kaeleeran music differed from that. "Kaeleeran music gets a bit...wilder, I guess. A lot of songs start off sweet and slow, but then they usually add a touch of wildness," she said, adding musical details that the mun is not qualified to actually relate.

"Does this sound like anything you have?" Karla asked, unsure.

Karla shrugged helplessly. "Maybe?" she said. "I have very little idea of this world's music. But...how could something modern also be classical?"

Penelope owed Hurley one huge apology and she'd waited a few days on purpose because she'd been too ashamed of herself to see him any sooner.

As it was, she could barely meet his eyes when she approached the counter.

"Hi, Hurley," she said very quietly.

[Hope you don't mind a bit of SP? ;)]

"Yes," she replied, having had no intention on buying any at first, but... she could, couldn't she?

"I stopped in for a specific reason, actually."

"Yes, Hurley. I feel terrible, horrid actually, about the other evening. I drank far too much and I'm very sorry I was dependent upon you to see me back to the dorms. Will you forgive me, please?"

"And I thank you, so much for that. But... it went too far. I drank too much. And I'm sorry. I promise you, it will never happen again."

Oz couldn't not check out a record store on an island that from he'd seen so far, was pretty interesting.

"Hey." he nodded to the dude behind the counter.

"Looking for unique music."

"Good point. Anything here you've never seen anywhere else?"
