Caritas - Sunday evening

When Jolee got to the bar, the first thing he did was put up a sign saying "For Sale."

When he stepped inside, the first thing he saw was Tino wearing a party hat. "I'll miss you too, Tino," he said.

[OOC: This will be Jolee's final post in Fandom. I am around!

The next owner will buy the place soon. Until then, Tino's in charge.]

"I wouldn't say 'bad,'" Jolee said. "But the Force has provided me with a sign that it's time to come out of retirement."

"Did you meet Revan when he was here last fall?" Jolee asked.

She nodded. "You told me a little bit of his story," she said, though she'd be hard-pressed to remember all the details at the moment.

"When he was here, he told me that he would need my help with a campaign he's waging against beings he calls the True Sith," Jolee said. "He told me that the Force would provide me with a sign that it was time to join him."

"And now there's a group of Sith devoted to the destruction of everything who knows where this planet is because they tracked me. I think that's a sign."

Tahiri had skipped out on Fight Club tonight and most other things owing to the day being EATEN BY SOCCER GAMES, owing to an impulse to head to Caritas. She'd never talked to Jolee before, but given the other night she felt a bit obligated to.

The "For Sale" sign she spotted on her way in had a lot to do with the frown on her face when she made her way to the bar. "My timing is great again, I see."

Tahiri reached up to rub the back of said head sheepishly. "It's fine, thanks. At least I know not to try that again. You're okay too?"

"At my age, getting a little lightning in the chest is good," Jolee said. "It keeps your heart going for a bit longer. You know, once you can stand up again."

Tahiri, who hadn't been filled in on the minor detail of how an older Sith apprentice her had killed someone with a little lightning in the chest, laughed. "Well, good. I mean, the standing up again part. Is it that bad, that you have to go?"

She wasn't laughing for that last question. Just for the record.

"If I don't leave and muddy the way back here, there's a chance that at some point in the future, those Sith will return with their master. The chances of that are small, but the consequences would be great enough that they're not odds I want to play," Jolee said. "And I need to reconnect with some old friends anyway."

Put it that way, and Tahiri could see his point. And she wasn't thrilled with the idea of freaky covered-eyes Sith woman making another sales pitch at her, either.

"I guess so," she conceded. "As much as I like it here, I think I like it Sith-free."

It took Jolee several moments to figure out where the phone was, but he finally found it and picked it up. "Caritas, this is Jolee speaking. Speak quickly, I'm out of here in a couple hours."

"It's almost like you have mental powers of some sort," Jolee said. "I figure the Sith have had enough time to get back. Now's the time to make sure they can't find the trail again."

"That, make sure I don't transmit a signal for the portals to lock onto, and take a look at probes at the edge of the galaxy that might help beings who try to come here the old fashioned way," Jolee said. "It doesn't hurt to be thorough."
