Dite's Decadent Delights, Tuesday

The store was much more sparkly today, reflecting Aphrodite's mood after the party last night. Flirting with Mary had been fun, but so had flirting with Max, and Deadpool. Knowing she could get a blush like that made the goddess inside of her all shivery with happiness and love.

Although, that might have been the sugar, as she'd worked her way through the cookies from JGOB. What was left of them were still available for customers and 'Dite herself was munching on a peanut butter cookie while flipping through a fashion magazine.

"Oh, for crying out loud! Those are hip again? Come on, people, that is so 1812." And she'd know. "That's even worse than bell bottoms!" Which was saying something.

The blinds were up, the lights were on, and the two signs on the door said, "OPEN."

And "I've got the job for you!"

Decadent Delights was open.

(OOC: Expecting two, but open to anyone!)

"Karaoke," she offered immediately. "And there's a zombie band -- yes, literal zombies, it's easier not to ask -- and we have a dart board and stuff in the back. It's a fairly typical karaoke bar. And we have allllll kinds of booze that I'd never even heard of before working there. Kind of awesome, selection-wise."

"It's a weird combination, zombies and karaoke. I'm not really sure how we got them there, but they mostly just stay where they're supposed to and play their instruments," Robin offered. "And they don't smell too awful, generally. It's not bad. Especially considering it's the main bar here."

Robin tilted her head in thought. "Well. There's a meditation place, which my boss also runs. And they have a shooting range there -- big favorite with this crowd. There's a ton of restaurants, there's a gym, and if you get a chance, check out the school. The only reason I ever really go up there is that the boyfriend's their head of security, but it's kind of neat. Like a castle."

"If you know someone, like a teacher or whatever," Robin said with a nod, "you can go visit them in their office. Sometimes they have stuff that's open to everyone in town, too."

Robin considered this, nodding along where appropriate. "No, I totally agree -- I taught a class last summer on how to do all the crap that kids are going to do anyway. Like, how to drink responsibly and treat a hangover. How to gamble. How to have safe sex. I mean, they're going to do this stuff. They might as well have safe people they can talk to. And people are always better than books, 'cause books are written for the average, you know? And like, if little Susie Q wants someone to tell her it's going to be okay, a book can't do that."

Robin wasn't sure when she had actually started caring about the kids. Huh.

Robin pursed her lips in thought. "He won't like it, but he also didn't like me teaching that class, really. I mean, he's kinda prudish, but I'll work on him. In any case, if he disapproves or whatever, this isn't happening at the school. The school's his jurisdiction. The town is Nate's. The most Benton can really do is frown sternly and lecture."

With a slow grin, Robin tilted her head at the racks. "Huh. It's like you know him. He reacts very favorably towards those sorts of items, yes. Very unusual, I know."
