It was Saturday, which meant it was Kyle's first shift. He arrived on time and warily eyed the SquishyBot and Liz as he got the store ready to open. "Don't think this makes us friends," he told the machines with a mistrustful look. When the SquishyBot went to protest (or hand him a Squishy as a sign of friendship), he pointed emphatically at the bot. "I know how to turn you off and I'm not afraid to do it." Yes he was, but that was beside the point.

Thankfully Apu was around to keep the peace.

Today's Squishy Flavors: Chutney, Metal, Red

Worf had scampered off somewhere - probably hunting mice again, yick, so Rose was going for a run. Also full of mischief.

And Turtle & Canary had everything, right? So it must have little cat outfits. And a camera.

"Hey Kyle," she said, spotting the kid running the store today. "Are you bored or did Turtle coerce you into this?"

"I got a job," Kyle explained, looking pretty pleased with himself. He leaned against the broom he was using to sweep the all ready clean floor. "Turtle's paying me, so then I can pay Alice and Jack back. What are you doing here?" It hadn't occurred to him that she might be here to shop.

"Pretty sure they're not expecting you to pay them back," Rose pointed out, but she grinned at him cause he looked so pleased.

"I only took Jack's money because he agreed I'd give it back. I know Alice doesn't, but I will anyway. Did you stop by to see me or do you need something from here?"

"Is the SquishyBot giving you attitude?" Hope asked when she walked in and saw the way Kyle was looking at the SquishyBot. "It does that sometimes. Just do what I do and make rude gestures at it a couple times."

"No," Kyle shook his head. "It's being okay." He glared at it again. "So far. Can I get you something?"
