After spending the afternoon getting, ah, familiar with his scarf in the Biblical sense, Chuck decided to give Marion the night off and open up Caritas himself. It would give his scarf something to do that didn't involve sex and it would give him a chance to recover from the last few days. His face still hurt like a bitch.

"Chuck, Chuck? Can I play with Tino?"

Chuck placed his glass of scotch over his eye and gave his scarf a smile. "No, scarf. You don't know where that's been."

"Can you and I have sex again then?"

"Later, I promise."

"Sure, we can," Joan said. "It'll be a short conversation though."

"It's already over, isn't it?" she said, grinning.

"Pretty much," she said with a giggle.

"One day it will change and it'll last at least thirty seconds," she teased.

Joan laughed. "Maybe someday."

"Maybe," she agreed, peeking back over at the bar.

Joan followed her gaze. "There are a lot of people over there I don't recognize."

"Did you... happen to wake up noticing anything... different?" Penelope hadn't brought the subject up before now, but drinking loosened her tongue somewhat.

"No, I didn't," she said. "But Savannah's teddy bear turned into a dude."

"Her teddy bear? Oh, that's incredible." So it was obviously going around.

"I helped him make her breakfast in bed," she said.

Penelope giggled. "How did that go?"

Joan shrugged. "Not too bad and it kept him from trying to cuddle her."

"Oh dear," Pen said. "Poor Savannah."
