From the Preserve to Selkie Peak [Thursday At Sundown]

Kyle wasn't in the best mood today. He didn't know how to describe what he was feeling, but it was homesickness. He had everything he needed here. Maybe that was the problem. This wasn't the world he knew and the lack of familiarity was finally kicking in. He'd get through it. He always did, but that didn't do much for his mood.

Kyle walked down Apocalypse Avenue towards the Park.

"Came in from a rainy Thursday on the avenue
thought I heard you talking softly
I turned on the lights the TV and the radio
but still I can't escape the ghost of you

What is happening to me crazy some would say
Where is the life that I recognize? Gone away."

He started to cross the Park.

"And I won't cry for yesterday
there's an ordinary world somehow I have to find
And as I try to make my way to the ordinary world
I will learn to survive."

Kyle detoured around the duck pond, shaking his head at how weird flamingos were.

"Passion or coincidence once prompted you to say
pride will tear us both apart
Well now pride's gone out the window
cross the rooftops, runaway
Left me in the vacuum of my heart

What is happening to me crazy some will say
where is my friend when I need you most? Gone away."

Back on the street, he rounded the corner that Chilly Boulder sat on and walked along Loon Drive past the Bank, Movie Theater and a house.

"But I won't cry for yesterday, there's an ordinary world somehow I have to find
And as I try to make my way to the ordinary world
I will learn to survive

Papers in the roadside tell of suffering and grief
Fear today forgot tomorrow beside the news of holy war and holy need
Our's is just a little sorrowed talk, just blown away."

He reached the Rocky Bits and started his ascent to Selkie Peak. He needed higher ground while he thought about it all. Everyone seemed under the impression that Judgment Day was only something from his timeline, but Judgment Day always happened. How long would it be before Fandom felt the effects of Skynet too?

"And I won't cry for yesterday there's an ordinary world somehow I have to find
And as I try to make my way to the ordinary world I will learn to survive
Every world is my world (I will learn to survive)
Any world is my world (I will learn to survive)
Any world is my world, every world is our world, every world."

Kyle sat quietly on Selkie Peak to watch the sun set on Fandom.
