The Preserve, Wednesday Afternoon

It was a subdued Merlin who spoke to the reserve this week. The events of last week may have had something to do with it, may have not.

"Today we'll look into preparing for events like those that just occured. For those of us sensitive to feelings or dreams of the future, perhaps we ought to start writing them down when they occur and just what happened in them," He said quietly.

"Asside from that, storing up anything we can to assist the other groups now would probably help in case we are the actual target of--something of that sort. If you have any ideas, please, share them with Karla or myself." A beat. "When she's here."

Tea! Tea was all English and soothing. Tara took a cup and watched the crowd. It seemed like a lot of people hadn't shaken the weekend off easily, and that made her sad.

"My powers of precognition are limited to when the writers want me to have it," Raven said quietly. "I cannot predict when or how clearly I will see the future, and the times I have glimpsed it, what I saw centered around myself." And her father, but she didn't add that part.

"I did sense the call from the other Fandom, however," she went on, "for the spell was carried on the power of such desperate hope. Any time there is such strong passion, I will feel it. I am not certain how helpful that will be, but unless the intent is somehow disguised, I should be able to discern if it is a true cry for assistance or some malevolent trick."

"W-what kind of spell did they do?" Tara wondered aloud. "There's nothing about 'grab people's minds from another dimension' in any of the spellbooks I have."

It hadn't, wouldn't occur to her that she could have been in on the spell.

"I don't usually dream stuff unless it's someone I know real well," Dinah said hesitantly. "So, I don't know. Maybe get to know more people?" She shook her head. "I've been meditating more too, so it would be under more control. Which at least makes normal dreams easier to direct."

"Maybe set up some kind of warning alarm spell?" Tara said tentatively. "Like ... if there's a change in the psychic energy around the island, everything gets all red and glowy."

She couldn't do exactly that offhand, but it didn't strike Tara as impossible.

Why do I live in a country where there are no Dunkin Donuts? I mean for the donuts. Proper donuts are really hard to find here. That is truly sad.
