Caritas - Saturday evening [Open]

With the dates all done in 20 minutes, there was still plenty of time for the regular patrons to come in and get something to drink.

Ben was behind the bar, ready to serve anyone who needed a drink because of good dates, bad dates, no dates, or reasons completely unrelated to dates.

[OOC: Posted a bit later than I had intended because there was a phone call involving discussions of wedding dress shopping. Between me - a guy - and a male friend. That was a little weird.]

Daisy had actually had some pretty good dates, but there had also been two dates that she would Not Talk About, or probably even acknowledge as dates, but where she wound up when it was all finished was with her attention on the bartender. Imagine that.

"Three guesses what I'm going to order," she said, "and that looks so much better on you than what you had on the last time I saw you, Ben."

"A White Russian?" Ben asked, starting to prepare Daisy's usual vodka and orange. "And that's only because you didn't see me after I got myself an adorable outfit with Harper's help."

Yes, he was kind of amazed that Harper helped him with an adorable outfit. She might have been a prodigy when it came to clothes for other people.

"Guess again," said Daisy before her head tilted thoughtfully. "Do you still...have that adorable outfit, Ben?"

"I've put it behind glass with a little hammer," Ben said, putting Daisy's drink in front of her. "It says 'Break In Case of Breasts' on the glass."

"Smart man," said Daisy with a grin. "Though it does seem a shame for an adorable outfit to just be sitting around, waiting for an emergency."

"Do you want the adorable outfit?" Ben asked. "Because if you're trying to convince me to model it for you, that's never going to happen."

"Oh, bless, no," said Daisy. "I'm not sure it'd really fit me. You had much bigger breasts than I did."

"The island likes big boobs and it cannot lie," Ben said, shaking his head. "I'm terrified to think about what happens if and when women turn into men. That can't be comfortable for them."

Which still smells like dating.

Which is perfect for impromptu weddings between successful 3MD matches!

Seriously, a conversation between two twenty-seven year old guys should not involve wedding dresses unless one of the following phrases is uttered:

1) "The fiance is driving me nuts with this wedding dress stuff!"

2) "I dare you..." and then a dare involving the other person wearing a wedding dress in public. This is probably said while drunk.

That is it. I feel very strongly about this.
