G'Kar had found a fascinating book on marketing and was considering the best way to incorporate some of its ideas and methods to the store.

"What do you think of mass mailings?" he asked Apu. "We could send a sales flier to every resident on the island every week!"

Apu said nothing and went about polishing the SquishyBot.

"A database of customers' spending habits! I like this idea!"

Turtle & Canary was possibly not normal today.

Ooo, a customer! The customer knows best! The customer will know which of the customer behavorial hierachies will work for T&C!

Kyle walked in early, expecting to be working his shift. He stopped when he saw G'Kar and looked confused. "Isn't today Saturday?"

G'Kar looked up from his book and smiled. "No, my good friend! Today is indeed the day of the Sun. Can I provide assistance?"

He didn't exactly facepalm, but the expression implied that he wanted to. "No, that's okay," Reese replied. "I'm Kyle Reese. I work here on Saturdays, only I thought today was Saturday, not yesterday." He was ignoring the unfortunate look of disapproval that Apu was giving him. "If you see Turtle today, can you tell her I'm sorry I messed up?"

"Ah! One of new employess I haven't had the luck of meeting before now! I am G'Kar, Turtle's business partner. And don't concern yourself over missing a day, it can happen to the best of us."

"I'm certain Turtle will understand," he added.

"She's pretty good like that," he agreed. "And it's good to meet you. I'll let you get back to work." The sooner he was away from the SquishyBot, the better.

"It's no trouble at all!" he smiled. "Why not stay for a few minutes and enjoy a Squishy? I personally like the salsibury steak myself," he grinned.

"I might stop by and get one later. I have to be careful about my sugar intake," he explained. Namely: don't OD, Kyle.

"I see. A touchy digestive system. I have known a few who also had that. Though in some cases I expect it was more a case of nerves than anything else," he chuckled.

"It's definitely not nerves with me," he assured G'Kar. "Only a hope that I can get through the year without having another stomach ache like the one I got soon after I got here. Not something I want to live through again." He was a fair way away from being the Kyle Reese who could get shot twice and have his hand bitten and still keep being a badass until he died of going boom. "But thanks for the squishy offer anyway. I'll talk to you again soon, Mr G'Kar."

"We certainly wouldn't want that. But if you do have the misfortune of developing a stomach ache, I would be happy to provide you with a Narn remedy. Quite all natural."

Just don't ask what was in it.

He sighed, "Very well, if you insist. Do feel free to drop in again some other time. I enjoy conversing with my employees."

this is what you get after I read a textbook on marketing communications.
