Groovy Tunes, Saturday [8/22]

Hurley wandered into work, and just put the first CD he found into the store stereo system.

Which meant he was playing a mix of MC Frontalot, Parry Gripp, and Jonathon Coulton.

Sadly, some of the humor was lost on him.

Otherwise, Groovy Tunes was open for business!

Penelope came in sometime after lunch and browsed the classical section while glancing over at Hurley every so often.

She wasn't so much interested in the music as she was him.

She waved back and picked up a CD she didn't know the title of and wandered over to him.

"Hi, Hurley."

"Uh-huh, thanks." She extended a Barry Manilow CD towards him. "I'm buying this one." She still had no idea what one it was since she was looking at Hurley.

"Are you, um, doing anything after work?"

"No, no plans at all. I was just --" little shrug "-- shopping today. I thought I might buy a pretty dress when I get through here. Casual, cute, you know..."

"Thank you, Hurley," Penelope replied, handing over a twenty dollar bill. "I would love to get together after you're off. Anything particular in mind?"

She shouldn't feel nervously excited about this, but she was.

"That would be nice," she said, smiling at him. It sounded cozy and intimate and she would have to speak to Joan.

"I could get together our picnic and you could bring the movie?"

She nodded, still smiling. "See you tonight!" And with a light bounce in her step, and her package in hand, she skipped from the store intending to buy a cute dress to wear this evening.
