Tonight, Robin was conducting an experiment.

She'd gotten some glue, some staples, duct tape, and any number of other adhesives, and was sitting down with the zombie drummer, as his arm had fallen off three times during her last shift.

She thought this was really very kind of her.

[I have RL stuff going on tonight, so I'm around until like 7:30 or 8, I think? Unless you don't mind a thread that might go into some severe SP, Tino-modding might be the name of the game. :D]

I am spending my anniversary selling underwear all day, and then painting a living room.

Such is life.

Reese entered the Lounge and sat. "Think this is better."

After surviving his first week in bizarro land, Sweets decided to finally check out the karaoke bar he had heard about.

He sat at the bar and ordered a drink, all the while staring in disbelief at the band.

Aphrodite had stopped at the bar and picked up a drink before looking around for the two women she was meeting here. Peeking into the lounge she found Reese. Taking a chair beside her, Aphrodite smiled.

"I'm so glad you made it! How was your week, Detective?"

Millie decided it would be good to get out for a bit, so she made her way to Caritas for a drink. "Do you have anything like mead here?" she asked.

Millie smiled at the man sitting at the bar. "Hello," she said cheerfully."

"It was nice," Reese said and almost added, 'I have a case!'. "How'd your week go?"

"Those zombies look awfully realistic, don't they?" Sweets asked, foregoing pleasantries for the moment.

"Perhaps because they're real zombies?" Millie suggested.

"Of course they are," Sweets said. "Because I've somehow stumbled into a live action game of Dungeons and Dragons."

"You have?" Millie said, looking around. "Where?"

"Oh, you know. . . " She shrugged and stirred her drink. "Sold stuff, went to the play, turned a friend into a kitten . . . "

"This whole island," Sweets said. "It's so bizarre."

He shook his head and finally remembered his manners. "Dr. Lance Sweets. I've only been here a week."

Because that wasn't obvious.

"Millie," she said with a smile. "I've been here... Goddess, about 2 and a half years, I guess."

Sweets nodded. "So this is all old hat to you then?"

"Turned a friend into..." Reese massaged her forehead. "Alright, I'll bite. Why did you turn your friend into a cat?"

Mary was just getting into Caritas after going sailing with Tully and arrived just in time to hear that. "Wait, someone else turned into a cat?" she asked, confused.

Millie laughed. "The island always manages to surprise," she admitted. "But yes, I'm getting used to being surprised."

"I was kind of worried that I was having some really long, vivid hallucination," he admitted.

She considered that for a moment. "I think not. Not unless a great many people are all having the same ones for a very long period of time."

"Yeah," he said. "I have to say that running into a much younger version of one of my colleagues was enough to make me realize that wasn't the case."
