Dite's Decadent Delights, Thursday
The chairs had moved. In fact, half the store had moved.
Overnight, things seemed to have shifted from right to left, leaving the right hand lower corner of the store open, empty of everything but the chairs and the fishbowl.
Which now sat on a bookshelf, the fish happily staring down at Hercules, who looked up at the greater height with annoyance.
"Just wait, Herc, you'll get bigger, and then what am I gonna do?" Aphrodite grinned down as she paused in her work. "I'll have to get bigger bookcases."
Then she happily continued hanging three new paintings on the wall.
Decadent Delights is open.
(ooc: Open store, open post, open mind . . . the OCD stayed home.)

Much.
Instead, she turned with a smile and waved at them both. "Hi, Dinah. Give me just a moment?"
And with that, she hung the last of the paintings she'd bought at the Fourth Dimension Gallery. Then she stepped back, hands on her hips.
"There! What d'you think?"

Another sigh, then she turned toward her friend. "What, just cause you're with a guy, I don't get a hug?"

Maybe if he focused on the art, and he turned his attention toward it, head tilted.
And then he looked at Dinah with that aren't you going to introduce us expectancy.

It wasn't the only thing she'd learned from Dinah, but it was a better starting point, if only to keep the girl from blushing.

It was interesting, how he found himself a little more caught up on how she was awfully blonde for a Greek and not so much on the whole Goddess of Beauty and Love thing. It was Fandom, really, but if it the goddess thing really was the case, then this was a little awkward. Somehow, hey, you know that son you popped out with Hermes, the one who some chick turned all androgynous? Yeah, I got to channel him for this sex show I used to be in... didn't seem like the best direction to take the conversation.

There was something. . . odd . . . tickling in the back of her mind whenever she looked at the young man. She tried to dismiss it and smiled at her two guests. "Dinah was in one a week ago or so. She was wonderful."

He found himself tilted his head at the blonde, blonde, blonde Aphrodite again.
"Which I'm sure you'd appreciate, right? But Dinah figures it'll turn into a death wish, and we were thinking a Prometheus angle. You know. Strung up to the rocks, eaten alive by birds..."

Aphrodite waved her hand toward the rest of the store, then led the way further in. "So, looking for handcuffs? Are you thinking something modern and comfy, or do you want realistic and painful? Prometheus wasn't bound with anything lined with fur."
no subject
There were some people in 1970s San Fransisco who would attest to that.

Naaaaaahh. Couldn't be.
Shaking her head, she turned and smiled at the two of them. "Pink is just my favorite color. And don't you laugh, Dinah, I can always tell Cal here about having to dress you at the park. For a moment there you were veeeeerrry happy to be wearing pink, weren't you?"
With a wink, she picked up two sets of cuffs, both sporting pink.
"Pink leather, or metal lined with pink fur?"
He can't be.

"And I changed my mind. How about red leather?"

Hey, she was trying to be good! Really!

Not one to lose the advantage of an already potentially embarrassed Dinah, either, he then held out his arms, locking a look her way and tilted his head. "And, yeah, Dinah, why don't you go ahead and help buckle them on?"

So now, there was no backing away. Just the flailing.
"Maybe. I.... will." Dinah gulped and stepped forward, then froze for a second, voice going higher. "So. Uh." She fumbled with the cuffs, not looking directly at Cal, her face going past red and into infrared. Hoo boy. Not even sure if this was hot, or not. "Like this?" And carefully snicked the cuffs into place, before glancing fast at Cal.
