Covent Garden Flowers, Wednesday, 9/22
Right, so after waking and having a few minutes of freaking out, calming down enough to breathe, and getting clothes and teasing from Layla, Dinah was now mostly dealing. For one thing, as a guy? She could totally track down Arthur and demand a spar now. Score. For another, she could do way more push-ups and lift more stuff. Muscles, yes! Any other speculation was getting shelved for much, much later.

handwavilyfound Dinah Lance's name in the records during the time Edward had himself thrown in a cell. More research led to Reese the shop where she's supposedly working. She had to pick this day to do some questioning but doing nothing would also lead to Reese doing crazy, stupid things. So. Work.
"Dinah Lance?" She called out, using her cop voice.

She came out carrying a big palm tree, and put it down on the counter. "Hi. Can I help you?" More than a little puzzled about who this strange guy was, and why he was looking for her.

"Are you Dinah Lance?" She asked.

"We can't really do anything if that's the case, especially if she's the legal guardian and in... another place," she said. "Who's Layla Miller?"

"We try our best but things don't usually work out. And... leaping to conclusions doesn't help." She sighed, took out her LAPD cards. Yes, she was still using the cards. She had three boxes worth, she's not just going to throw 'em away. "Look, if you need anything you can just call me okay? The cell number's still current."

"We must have missed each other," she agreed. "Why were you visiting Day?"

"Maybe you have the right idea," she conceded. But Reese wasn't going to exchange her badge or uniform despite everything. She liked being part of the police. "Still, if you need anything, you can just call me."
