Homecoming Weekend Brunch, Sunday Morning in the Park

There hadn't been too much trouble arranging the brunch in the park. Jennifer had enlisted the help of various people, and even got people like that scary teacher Mr. Dukes to help pitch in.

There was a harvest theme in the tent, with the tablecloths and napkins all in reds, yellows and oranges. There were centerpieces on the tables of cornucopias with edible fruits! There was also, of course, every kind of brunch food imaginable set up at the buffet table. There were even some food items there that didn't even qualify as brunch. And for some reason, there were biscuits baked in the shape of fish.

Jennifer found them oddly tasty.

[ooc: OCD first, or Jen will Hulk out and rip you apart like Vision. OCD Up! Also, post and OCD shamelessly lifted/altered from [livejournal.com profile] yourwhiteknight's PW brunch last year. Post going up now in case I accidentally sleep in. A second post'll go up if needed.]

"Yeah, but there's a lot less Jumble writing at this job," Peter said. "Apparently internet Jumbles aren't very popular."

"That's probably only because no one's done it. I've never heard of an Internet jumble. This means it doesn't exist." See, logic.

Peter had to resist the urge to argue with the logic just to ruin the joke. But he managed to do just that. "Well, that makes me feel better about it. And if internet Sudoku can work, who's to say my thing couldn't?"

"I get a cut when it becomes a big thing," she decided.

"Of course," Peter said. "This being the internet, I probably won't see a dime while everyone else comes up with their knockoff versions, of course, but I'll make sure you get a penny out of my nickel of profit."

"That's all I ask. And for this in writing," she said. "Hey. This was civil."

"See, I told you," Peter said. "Just because it hadn't happened before didn't mean it was impossible."

"It was kind of close to impossible," she decided.
