Homecoming Weekend Brunch, Sunday Morning in the Park

There hadn't been too much trouble arranging the brunch in the park. Jennifer had enlisted the help of various people, and even got people like that scary teacher Mr. Dukes to help pitch in.

There was a harvest theme in the tent, with the tablecloths and napkins all in reds, yellows and oranges. There were centerpieces on the tables of cornucopias with edible fruits! There was also, of course, every kind of brunch food imaginable set up at the buffet table. There were even some food items there that didn't even qualify as brunch. And for some reason, there were biscuits baked in the shape of fish.

Jennifer found them oddly tasty.

Jeff was here, his shoulders slumped, observing the brunch with a plate of something undefinably food-like in his hands. Turtle had left Fandom; he was left looking awkward and terrified of opening conversation with anyone.

Maybe he should phone Steve.

Jack paced the perimeter of the group, in a fantastic mood after the carnival yesterday. He was hoping to catch up with a few more people today.

Romeo curiously watched the crowd. In his opinion, there were entirely too many unfamiliar faces taking over the school -- and somehow the students had gotten younger in the last three months.

He was on his guard in case one familiar face should show up.

Oddly enough getting dunked a few times yesterday had, eventually, put Leto in a better mood. Perhaps it was a Fremen thing; being able to direct anger at specific target was the solution to many problems. So after picking up some food, he watched the people gathered with interest.

Kate was well-rested and in a fantastic mood. She'd missed out on most of the fun yesterday; she wasn't going to let that happen today.

She was also in possession of a rather big plateful of food. Being able to eat was awesome. Mmm, food.

Unchanged from yesterday, Edmund continued to uphold the Pevensie tradition of being a pony. He was less grumpy about it today, which may have had something to do with still being able to spend some time with his nephew while he, Peter and Willow were in town.

It was Edmund though, so he was still a touch grumpy anyway, and was eyeing up the buffet table from afar.

Hannibal would make his way over to buffet in a short while but, for now, he was content to wander around and enjoy the festivities. Excuses for parties three days in a row were something he loved about this school.

Tybalt was actually out and about for the first time in nearly forever, in spite of the weather. Verona didn't see the fall the way that Fandom saw it, and the chill in the air had been enough to keep him indoors for some time, now.

But today? With the island populated with Alumni if only temporarily, it seemed as though there was ample opportunity to get out, socialize, and perhaps make a few new lady friends while he was at it.

And also, to steal a few fish biscuits.

Emma had skipped most of the carnival yesterday due to mun-fail but she was here today, skimming the crowd with her powers, even as she wandered about, being social.

People were so very interesting.

Brooke absolutely loved homecoming, and last night she'd gotten to meet some new people and see them in some state of undress and this morning she was still good with that. She was in a good mood, looking for people she needed to talk to before they all had to leave.

Jaina felt weirdly good about this weekend. It was just nice having everyone back and around, and there wasn't any drama, and she'd completely needed it. So she was in a good mood as she hung out with a glass of juice, enjoying the brunch.

All in all, Peter had been having a quiet trip this weekend. He probably needed it with the schedule he usually kept, but he was feeling great today.
