Homecoming Weekend Brunch, Sunday Morning in the Park

There hadn't been too much trouble arranging the brunch in the park. Jennifer had enlisted the help of various people, and even got people like that scary teacher Mr. Dukes to help pitch in.

There was a harvest theme in the tent, with the tablecloths and napkins all in reds, yellows and oranges. There were centerpieces on the tables of cornucopias with edible fruits! There was also, of course, every kind of brunch food imaginable set up at the buffet table. There were even some food items there that didn't even qualify as brunch. And for some reason, there were biscuits baked in the shape of fish.

Jennifer found them oddly tasty.

[ooc: OCD first, or Jen will Hulk out and rip you apart like Vision. OCD Up! Also, post and OCD shamelessly lifted/altered from [livejournal.com profile] yourwhiteknight's PW brunch last year. Post going up now in case I accidentally sleep in. A second post'll go up if needed.]

Kawalsky grinned. "If you don't, you could probably get a few pointers from some real life archers. Seriously, that's their job day in, day out. I still check my phone sometimes, but letter's probably the way to go. Let me know when and we can set up a portal."

"I should be able to fit in a trip after Finals in December. We have about three weeks of break, so I could take a trip out there, a trip back home, and still be wherever I need to be for New Year's," Peter mused as he started to plan things out in his head.

"Sounds almost like a plan. Let me know when you work out what you're doing. I'm pretty much free the whole time. No plans for the next few months." That would change when he got home, not that he knew that yet, but he would still be up for visitors in December.

Dun dun dunnnn. "Great," Peter said. "And the same goes for you. Any time you want to see the sights on the west coast, our guest room is open."

"I'll take you up on that. I'm getting the hang of the place, but sometimes all I want is a hot dog, a beer and a real sports game."

"As long as it's not football. Because, you know, LA," Peter said with a shrug.

"I wouldn't want to waste my time," he replied. "Baseball season is almost over, right?"

"Yep. Dodgers lost to the Phillies, Yankees are beating the Angels 3-2 in the series," Peter said. "The World Series isn't starting until Wednesday, somehow."

"At least they're not playing in Colorado this time of year."

"There was a chance of it," Peter said. "The Rockies did make it to the playoffs."

"Man, who'd do that to their fans? At least they had the decency to lose and save everyone from hypothermia."

Re: Mingle

"The smart fans would just watch it on TV anyway," Peter pointed out.

"That's suggesting smart and hardcore are mutually exclusive."

"Point," Peter noted. "Really, it's for the best that they lost when they did. Even if they did lose to the Phillies."

"Yeah, that's gotta be rough. Who ever wants to lose to a Pennsylvania team?"

"Nobody. Which is why everyone's glad for the Pirates," Peter joked.

"Long may they suck."
