Luke's Diner, October 26 (Monday)

Someone on the kitchen staff was going to strain something today, rolling their eyes, and well before breakfast time was over at that. Lacey had figured out how to get to the Zynga Games forums -- and kept waylaying one or another of the guys to come over and let her read aloud from the latest draft of her post to the Cafetown suggestions thread.

None of them had the heart to tell her that nobody else playing the game cared all that much about how accurate the food prep actions were. Or maybe they just wanted to see her reaction later when she checked the thread for replies.

Luke's is open, so is Lacey's laptop, and the possibility for hilarity if you're not her is . . . well, that's always there.

When not actually in class or practicing knife fighting, George had been reading the romance novel Karla had lent him.

Which why he was sorta seeing if he could pose like the villain of the tale as he waited for Bobby and Kyle to join him.

"...What are you doing?" Bobby asked, stopping short when he caught sight of George and the posing.

Kyle slipped into the booth. "Who is what doing?"

"No one's doin' anything," George said, making a face. "Twas jus' waitin' for you lot."
longislandiceme: (dubious)

"If you say so," Bobby shrugged, the corner of his mouth quirking up in the hint of a smirk.

"I hear you guys are princes now," Kyle grinned, changing the subject, fully intending to bring it up again.

"Aye, tis th' truth," George said instantly. "An' I was practicin' me 'prince' look."

"I," Bobby declared dramatically, "am always princely. The school just finally decided to acknowledge that."

Wow, Tim had forgotten how skinny laptops were these days. Or, how prolific they were.

Man, 1993 feels so primitive after I've spent time here.

"Whatcha working on? If I may ask?"
