Wellspring Arms & Meditation Center, Thursday
Coffee and inventory sheets. Today was a day for coffee, and a day for inventory sheets, and nothing on God's green earth was going to pry Algren away from the first while he dutifully went over the second to make absolutely certain that... Well, that nothing had changed in the counts since the last time he'd done the Wellspring's inventory.
Someday, he might actually get sick of all of that counting. That day was probably very far off, so long as there was still coffee in the world to keep him going.

Talk to Algren
Re: Talk to Algren
... so, maybe he thought it was a little hilarious Nathan was teaching that.
Re: Talk to Algren
"It's sex history," he corrected, about as good-natured as he could manage considering how badly he wanted to light things on fire every class period. "We had a student stand up and vehemently protest the course material the other day in class. That was an interesting change of pace."
Jim had dealt with it. Because Nathan had been too busy burying his face in his hand and trying to disappear at the time.
Re: Talk to Algren
"Sex history, right," he repeated, mimicking the tone. "Oh, conscientious objector. Those are fun. I haven't had one of those in a while. Anybody get detention out of it?"
Re: Talk to Algren
It had gotten to a point where Kirk felt the need to point out that he wasn't interested in students. By about that point, Nathan was nearly ready to walk out of the room to beat his forehead into a wall a few times.
Re: Talk to Algren
Sometimes students had those! It was odd.
Re: Talk to Algren
He shook his head. "Tell me something happy, Tyler."
He'd take about anything! Really!

Cable's usual gaggle of child-and-dog were present, of course, with Algren's knees like a siren call for Tether.
Re: Talk to Algren
With enough caffeine in his system, he could count all of the unsold stock that Cable could possibly throw at him. True fact.

Re: Talk to Algren
By 'quiet enough,' of course he meant that he hadn't been shot at or bitten by gremlins.
Re: Talk to Algren
Jan wobbled towards the desk, grabbing a firm hold of it to the best of her abilities. "Funny hair," she proclaimed, of Algren.
Cable's mouth pulled up. "Sometimes the island blesses us for a few weeks."

The downside of this was that passing by Wellspring, she saw another teacher from a very different class. One she kind of owed at least an explanation, if not an apology. She hesitated on the sidewalk for a moment, wondering if she could still sneak away.
But the moment passed and Karla reluctantly squared her shoulders and went to tap on the door. "Captain Algren?" she said.
Re: Talk to Algren
He was duty-bound to state such facts right up-front.
Re: Talk to Algren
Besides, Triela would probably be able to get her one when it was time anyway.
"I'm not here to purchase anything, I'm here to talk to you," she said hesitantly. "Though if you're busy, I could see you another time?"
Don't look so hopeful, Karla.
Re: Talk to Algren
Considering the events that had taken place during Tuesday's class, he could wager a guess, but he wasn't about to put words into her mouth, either.
Re: Talk to Algren
"I'm not apologizing for what I said," she added with a bit of vehemence, "Because I'm not sorry for that, I'm not! But--" and the fire was gone, once again leaving her apologetic and quiet, "--the way I said it left something to be desired. It was more of a disruption than it needed to be. I apologize for yelling in class."
Though not, necessarily, for yelling at Kirk.

WHOEVER SAID THERE IS NO WORK ON THE EAST COAST IS ABSOLUTELY OUT OF THEIR GOURD. If you want hours, there's always McDonald's. *facepalm*
Re: OOC
At least you shall of money! Even if you dream of days off! Hahahaha. (Though I am not sure you should be eating your days off; I hear they are bad for your digestion. Trufax.)
