Ben had greasy pizza, ugly shoes, and a bright yellow ball.

Bowling was totally the best sport ever.

He grinned over at Tahiri. "So...are we going to try to only knock the pins of our lane down this time?"

[OOC: Ben is here for the girl, but the bowling alley is open for all of your hot date needs.]

Tahiri likewise had really hideous shoes, but her bowling ball was a shade of orange that made standard-issue Fleet flightsuits look dull.

"Even if I said yes, I bet that wouldn't last long," she told him. Yes, she was going to make Riina suck it up while she fiddled with the score computer, and if Ben didn't watch out he was going to end up being listed on the screen as something really embarrassing. "Want to try for three lanes this time?"

Normal bowling rules were for -- people not them.

Ben glanced to the people on either side--which meant he would miss whatever name she inputted for him, then grinned and nodded. "Sure. It'll make their lives more interesting."

Clearly this would be the best idea ever, and Ben would be known for the duration of the evening as Deej the Overgrown Ewok.

"Are we actually going to get up this time?" Tahiri wandered over to put the bright orange monstrosity -- which was ridiculously heavy and made it slow going especially once she was trying not to slip all over the wood floor in the stupid shoes -- in the ball return.

She hadn't put her own name in yet, so if Ben wanted to retaliate . . .

Ben glanced up at the name, blinked and then reached out to tickle her. "Hey!" he said, typing with his free hand.

Tahiri would now be Grand Master Whango Mittphool.

"Would you rather be Sparky?" Tahiri asked, in the middle of executing her brilliant Avoid Tickling By Dropping Down In The Seat Next To Ben plan. "Wow, I'm not sure the promotion is worth that name."

"Whango is a completely astral name," Ben told her. "And I don't want to be Sparky. Sparky is the name for an Artoo unit."

"I never named mine," Tahiri realized. "I'm sure you're surprised."

Ben snickered. "I am shocked," he told her. "But then, Dad's Artoo is named Artoo."

"I'm surprised no one thought of that before. I guess that counts for originality, then." Tahiri paused to swipe a piece of pizza. Look, see? Eating. "In a weird way."

Better than the cookies Karla made, anyway. "I think Artoo prefers to think that he just set a standard that all Artoos who were going by Artoo couldn't dream of matching."

"I'm pretty sure he's seen more than most Artoos ever get to." Not that she'd helped with that or anything. "And it's not like your dad ever memory wipes him."

"I think Artoo would zap him if he even tried at this point," Ben said with a laugh.

Tahiri hit the button to start the game and looked over at Ben, going a little red. "He must have the best collection of embarrassing footage ever."

And probably some of her. Eep. "I think it's your turn, Deej."

"I think Artoo could probably take down the government all by himself if we ever really ticked him off," Ben decided, standing up and grinning at her. "Whango."

He rolled the ball down the lane, twitched his fingers slightly, and got a strike.

Don't give Troy Denning any ideas. "Only one lane?" It's not like the others will show up on the scoreboard, Tahiri. "Oh, let me guess, that was just to warm up."

Striking off limbs as he goes. Revenge of the droids! "Just a warm up," he confirmed, grabbing a slice of pizza and sitting down with a smirk.

Tahiri rolled her eyes in amusement and stuck her left hand out to send the ball down the lane. Without standing up, so there. She got a strike on their lane, but only about half the pins on the left and the head pin on the right -- which left the guy there very confused, since he'd only just picked up his ball.

"So by the time we're on the last few frames I expect you to do this with your eyes closed."

"Of course," Ben said. "Your eyes can deceive you. Don't trust them." With a wink, he sent his ball hurtling down the alley without getting up either.

And got another strike. And the poor bastard next to them had just picked up a spare he hadn't rolled for.

They were doing his score a favor! It totally counted as helping people. Completely in line with Jedi ideals. Really.

"Showoff," Tahiri said affectionately, picking up a spare on the lane on the other side of them along with the strike she got in the lane that actually was theirs. Poor confused guy was still standing there staring, and possibly waiting for the pins to reset.

Well, if he was on a hot date, his boyfriend was going to be completely impressed.

"I'm not sure our computer's going to be fully equipped to work with our scoring, Whango," he teased.

Come to think of it, the other guy was giving him a slack-jawed look.

"Maybe you should get on that, Deej," Tahiri retorted. "Since you're the only Ewok I know who's that good with computers."

"Especially since Kettch isn't around," Ben said, waving his hand toward his ball and managing to hit himself into an 8-10 split.

"Stang."

It was Tahiri's turn to smirk at him now. "Yub yub, Deej. Let's see how well you pick that one up."

Ben frowned, then twisted his fingers. The pins fell down when the ball was only halfway down the lane.

Big cheater.

And just for that, as soon as the pins reset, Tahiri flicked her hand out and knocked them all down without even levitating the ball out of the rack. So not dirty holy god.

The pins in their lane, and the adjacent . . . four.
