Trick or Treating, All Across Town, Saturday

Deep in the shadows of the town, angry discarded candies were lurking for their chance to be eaten. The people who had set out the Trick or Treating route this year didn't care: this was an important tradition, and one they were set to uphold. Even if it meant they had to sacrifice a few members to munch on dried-out confectionary.

All Cable needed to know was that all had gone well thusfar. 2009's Halloween trick-or-treating was ready and set to go, and they'd even put out a few Halloween decorations outside to mark the way.

Lois, as per usual, waited until the last minute to pick out her costume. So she gathered every slutty piece of clothing she had, threw it together, and called it a witch's costume (http://i36.tinypic.com/zsjsxh.jpg). She looked pretty damn fine, if she said so herself.

She had a weird urge to dance around to Gwen Stefani though.

He'd seen signs advertising something called Halloween and had gone back to books to figure out what it was. After slogging through various different accounts of what the holiday meant to different religions, he'd finally found out how it was celebrated for the most part.

So, he'd gone out and found a costume. It looked...a little odd and he felt a little odd but it seemed to be the thing to do and Jonas did want to experience everything he could. Still, he felt odd.

Aravis (http://i35.tinypic.com/nz4s90.jpg), while she didn't approve of this "bullfighting" nonsense, was really quite fond of her costume. Particularly the pants. She really should wear things like this more often, she thought, as they did remarkable things for her somewhat limited figure.

And that, along with candy, was the point of Halloween, wasn't it?

What with Dinah being off . . . elsewhere, Priestly was feeling eeeever so slightly abandoned which, you know, only really worked for his costume. But free candy was free candy, so he was there, hanging out on the fringes of the group, dressed up like Dean Winchester, if Dean Winchester occasionally hugged his shot gun like a teddy bear.

Hannibal (http://www.buycostumes.com/Nerd-Adult-Costume/33665/ProductDetail.aspx) had gone a little off the beaten path with his costume but he loved it. He didn't think anyone would expect him to go as a nerd which is why he did.

This would be the one day out of the entire year that he'd be a nerd. After this, back to his awesome self.

Sure it was the most generic, cheesiest costume ever, but without a source of income, the ghost was seeming like Clark's best bet if he wanted to join in the trick-or-treating fun. So yes, he was walking around with a white bedsheet over his normal clothes. Totally incognito, this one.

Mat was feeling quite good about the pirate (http://images.starpulse.com/Photos/Previews/Pirates-Caribbean-3-03.jpg) outfit he had chosen. It was almost like he wore every day, and he believed that the goatee was especially attractive.

Not that he'd keep it. He wasn't bloody Perrin.

The best part about having her own room again was that Anemone had the space needed to build her iridescent wings (http://www.customfairywings.com/FantasyTriWing.html).

She fussed with her plaits of long pink hair one more time, having opted to wear it up, and smoothed the skirt of her black dress.

Treats beware, Anemone was on the prowl!

Ellie figured she should try to be more social. Wearing a costume (http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l165/Landslide418/Miscellaneous/Stuff/21420.png) and getting free sugary food seemed like a good way to do that. She always did like Halloween.

Robin had a painted on mustache, fake glasses, and a wee tiny pith helmet. No, he was not dressed as Panama Jack.

He was already bouncing with excitement. Perhaps chocolate is not the best thing for him now. This will not stop him.

In the end, Raven had decided to wear a black and purple gown (the corset made her very self-conscious) and had somehow come up with a pair of black feathered wings. It seemed vaguely appropriate.

She looked around to see if she could recognize any of her friends.

And it was possible her costume was largely a great excuse to wear wings of some kind again. They were awesome.

Lion-o felt weird, as if he was too old to be trick-or-treating, but Snarf wanted candy. They didn't have costumes, but then again, when you were a muscular lion-boy accompanied by a walking, talking cat-like creature, you didn't need costumes.
