Chuck was still in his costume when Caritas opened on Saturday night. It was still Halloween, after all now. Only now the drinking to eating candy ratio leaned more towards the drinking part.

After it seemed like the trick or treating was done, Castiel changed clothes and headed to Caritas.

He'd been told that it would be a good place to talk to women, after all. And Chuck seemed to think that Jimmy "had the legs" for lederhosen, whatever that meant.

Chuck did a spit take when he saw Castiel. Seriously, he didn't think people did that in real life but he just did. He didn't need that mouthful of scotch anyway.

"Oh my god!" Chuck burst out laughing. Today was the best day ever.

Castiel looked down. "Am I wearing it incorrectly?"

"No, you're wearing it right," Chuck said after catching his breath. "You look...great."

"Thank you." Castiel took a seat. "It's far less itchy than the mustache."

"I'd imagine so," he said. "So what brought on the costume change?"

"You said the mustache was 'creepy'."

"It was," he said. That thing might haunt his nightmares. "I just figured you'd go for the usual mustache-free suit-and-trenchcoat look after the whole trick or treating thing was over."

"It's still Halloween, and costumes are traditional."

"Fair enough," Chuck said, looking down at his own costume. "Do you want a drink or something? Do you drink? I hardly ever see you in here."

"That's because I'm seldom here. I suppose a drink is proper."

Chuck nodded and poured Castiel a glass of scotch since, hey, that's what he had out. "You have a reason for being here?"

"I was told this might be a place to talk to women."

"They are. Bars are a great place to meet people," Chuck said. "You know, when people actually show up."

It was a good thing his father wasn't here right now. He would not be pleased.

"I assume that there's usually . . . more people."

"Usually, yeah. It's never really too packed though," Chuck said, sighing a little. "But this is a small town. Can't expect too much."

"A small population does mean the church attendance is low as well."

"Yeah, but you've got your regulars. This place does too," he said. They just didn't seem to be around at the moment. "But I do kind of miss the whole crowded city thing sometimes. Doesn't get boring."

"I've never spent much time in crowds."

Chuck tried to picture Castiel in the city and it...was not going well. "It can be kind of intense if you're not used to it."

"There are 7 billion of you people," Castiel acknowledged. "Even the small towns end up a little bit crowded."

Relax.

You wouldn't believe how many kids I saw dressed up as Clone Wars!Anakin. The best costumes were definitely the kid dressed like Oscar the Grouch and the kids dressed like Chuck and Blair.

And my sister was dressed like a slutty nurse and all the dads kept asking to take pictures with her *sigh* I was dressed like a college drop out. So I was drinking beer in my WVU sweatshirt.

We got a zombie Obama at our house. I don't even know, but I think his parents are Republicans.
