Pixie Dust, Thursday
Okay, so she was late. Call it fashionably late, or whatever. Elena was going to help herself to some of the absinthe behind the counter -- which had a lovely kick to it -- and then convince herself to buy that one dress she'd been eying. She did have a totally-not-a-date-dammit this weekend ...

"So," she said, to all appearances utterly normal except for slightly cooler eyes than usual (on Fandom). "What sort of dresses are in stock that are gorgeous and possibly slinky?"
Slinky was just a fun word to say. Sliiinky.
Annnd, oh hey. "Hi, you."

And an ego to match, but whatever.
"And--no occasion. I just wanted something made of pure awesome to make this day less 'bout the thinking."

She peeled a dress (http://www.unique-vintage.com/images/unique-vintage/10386larger.jpg) from the rack and handed it to Ino.
"You so need to try this on."

Hmmm.
Ino began drifting towards the change rooms, contemplating that as she went. "Do you get your nails done often? I just let mine go, mostly. Is the spa place here any good then?"

She pulled out a particularly tacky dress (http://www.onlygowns.com/dresses/hot-sexy-golden-ruffled-halter-evening-gown-394.asp), wondering how it had survived the back-room burner. "Wouldn't it be cheaper just to get a sign?" she mused. "Something like, 'I Don't Charge'?"

Too much effort, come on.

Elena wasn't sure why there was hard liquor at the store, but she'd been assured that it was for all employees, and that getting hammered on the job was encouraged. Which made for a fairly sweet gig.

Ino managed to wriggle into the dress and studied herself in the mirror for a moment. "I think I need heels if I went with this one, or crazy amounts of hemming..." Ah, the joys of being short. She slipped out of the change room and posed. "But, that aside, what do you think oh clothing minion worker?"

Which was why she was pushing through the door of Pixie Dust, thinking today was Elena's day to work here. "You, you here?"

SHe paused.
"Oh crap, I didn't wait for the tone."

Now was a good time to lean down under the counter and fetch more of the absinthe. And a couple of glasses.
"Drink?" she said. "Because I sure as hell need one."

Both glasses full, she set the bottle down and took a healthy swallow from her own.
"If Professor Skywalker wasn't so intimidating," she added, "I would probably spend half of class passing you notes."
Many of them would just read wtfwtfwtf.

"I need to return that. And possibly burn it. And check the order list, because I'm pretty sure we have a bunch of kindling being shipped as I speak."

No, seriously. She worked here: therefore, she couldn't possibly have been in her right mind when she ordered this monstrosity.
"I especially like the pointless belt-wrap around the hips," she added. "Like they got to the end of the dress and had too much fabric and went, 'well, let's just tie a knot.'"

Cordelia looked over at the dress and shuddered. "I thought maybe it was extra straps for the overly endowed."

Elena knelt behind the counter, looking for another bottle of vodka. She resurfaced with it, eying the dress again.
"I think," she said, "it's time we put this dress out of its misery."
