Mat, for whom the mysteries and usefulness of the radio was beyond, waited in the lounge with a drink in his hand and a smile on his face.

Time spent with a pretty woman was always a good thing, and Leia was more than just a pretty woman.

After the day she'd had yesterday, Leia was looking forward to some fun so she could spend a few hours not thinking about fathers and daughters and Jedi and unidentified mothers and twin brothers. She paused at the bar to get a drink of her own -- she totally deserved it -- then found Mat in the lounge and joined him. "Hi," she said, smiling at him.

Mat stood up when she came in and smiled. "It's very nice to see you."

"I've been looking forward to this all day," Leia told him.

"That does just bloody wonderful things for my ego," Mat teased, gesturing toward a chair.

Leia sat down where he indicated. "It's true," she said. "I could use some fun."

"I excel at that," Mat said, winking. "Do you prefer drinking games, card games, or both?"

"How about both?" Leia said, wondering how they'd compare to Alderaanian games.

His grin broadened as he pulled a deck of cards from his coat. "I was hoping you'd say that. Is there any reason you need fun other than it being a Wednesday?"

"That's a good enough reason for me," Leia said. She hoped there were squirrels in the bar, because she really wanted this to be on the radio. She didn't want Jaina to leave her another flaily voicemail, but she definitely wanted Anakin to hear about it.

"Me too, then," he declared, handing the deck to her. "You cut. I don't want you to accuse me of cheating when I win."

"How do I know the cards aren't marked?" Leia teased as she did as he requested.

"I'd have many more scars if I'd ever tried that," Mat laughed. "I'm just that good naturally."

"You'll have to show me just how good you are," Leia said, handing the cards back to him.

"In that case, we should play for high stakes," he decided, dealing out five cards. He'd learned that poker was fairly universal.

"What did you have in mind?" Leia asked, oh so coyly.

Mat had very little practice looking innocent enough to pull this off. "What would the lady prefer?"

"You look like you have something in mind," Leia grinned.

"Kisses?" he tried.

"My kisses are very high stakes," Leia said thoughfully. "Are yours worth just as much?"

Andrew Zimmern is in West Virginia in this episode. It's making me homesick.
