The Perk | Saturday Afternoon

The weird time differential between his world and Fandom always had John running for coffee after a portal. Today was no different and he happily grabbed a table in the warm shop to drink up while he left a voicemail message because he'd promised to call when he got to town.

It was really too bad that message wasn't going to be as helpful as he'd hoped.

"Yeah," Ben said. He rolled his shoulders, feeling out of his depth again. "So when do you leave for Colorado?"

"Tomorrow. I'll be mostly out of contact in this program I'm working on, but maybe I'll stop back in after a few weeks."

"Yep." Except for how John wouldn't get any of those benefits. "I'd be happier if the time thing smoothed out, but cable makes it better."
