Streets of Fandom, Wednesday Afternoon

The sound of a Harley echoed through the streets today as Leda rode around, expertly kicking up snow on the corners, but being careful to keep clear of say, running into people. Her hair was dyed half white, half purple and streamed out behind her.

Clearly she was in a much better mood than she'd been the day before.

Leda was difficult to miss to begin with, but between the hair and the motorcycle, Ziva couldn't help but notice her as she came out of the Perk. "Leda!" she called, trying to get her attention.

Leda did not hear her over the motorcycle, but she saw her out of the corner of her eye, and shut off the sound. "Hi!" she waved happily. "Isn't it beautiful?"

"It is wonderful," Ziva said, going over to take a closer look. "And nice and loud. I like that in a bike."

"It's got a few different sound settings. Today I have it set on Harley." The bike did not have a traditional engine. Instead it was powered by what looked like a large cigar box covered in mystic runes. The exhaust was faintly purple and smelled of blueberries.

"Where in the world did you get this?" Ziva asked, bending down to check the engine-like thing. "It does not smell bad at all. Is that to not pollute the island?"

"My friend Crystaviel gave it to me. She also arranged for my portal back here." She crouched beside the spellbox powering the bike. "It doesn't run on gas, so, the exhaust is as much an affectation as the noise. Though I'm not sure how to change the scent. Good thing I like blueberries."

"It is a very nice scent indeed," Ziva said with a laugh. "I am happy you got a motorcycle to ride. I have never seen anyone as enthusiastic as you were in class."

Leda decided not to mention that this type of bike was considered suicidal in Bordertown since Magic had a habit of conking out randomly.

"I think your class helped a lot. It was great practice for this."

"I am glad I could help in some way," Ziva said. "It is nice to have been of some use to someone."

"Well that is why you're a teacher isn't it."

She'd become a teacher on a whim, having nothing better to do and no place to go, but now... "Yes, I suppose it is," she said.

Well that worked too. "How's your class going this semester?"

"Quite well. I was put in charge of the study hall," Ziva said. "It is not teaching as much as supervising, but it has given me time to study, so I have enjoyed it so far."

"What do you study?"

"I am studying to become an American citizen," Ziva said. "It is a lot of facts and history to learn."

"How come? I mean why become American? And what are you now?"

"I am from Israel," Ziva explained. "But I wish to stay here. I have...some bad memories of home, family I cannot stop being angry with. When I leave Fandom, I would like to return to my last job, and to do that, I will need to be an American citizen."

Oh hey Leda could relate to that. "I don't really get along with my family either."
