Atlas Gym - Wednesday

Beka was a little late when she made it to the gym, but Emma was back to being human and that put her in a good enough mood. Pounce had accompanied her today as the room had been getting too busy for his nap. Not that it changed his plans as he made straight for the pile of mats from which he had a decent view of the gym.

"You could keep me company," Beka told him.

I am keeping you company, he reasoned and she rolled her eyes at him.

"It doesn't count if you've got your eyes closed."

But cats were cats and Pounce was The Cat, so he'd be sleeping while Beka worked.

This time, when Jonas came to visit, he wasn't brushing snow out of his hair. He was bundled up in a jacket and that only made him look more forward to next week's vacation to warmth.

Beka smiled as Jonas entered the gym and she went over to greet him. "I'll get used to you visiting me," she told him.

"It's a nice way to spend my afternoon," he told her, wriggling out of his jacket and returning her grin. "How are you?"

"Well," she returned the smile and reached to take the jacket from him. "Emma was back to herself when I woke this morning. She wasn't vexed about the ribbon or aught."

"So, you're no longer playing roommate caretaker?" he joked. "Was she all right?"

"She seemed fine," Beka nodded. "She had visitors too, so she'll not be bored either."

"I have to disarm Warren for class," he shared, holding back on the checkers agreement. "And he has to try and disarm me."

That'd not be what she was expecting to come from him and she tilted her head. "And you'd be looking for a Dog to give you some pointers?"

And Jonas hadn't expected her to offer advice and, despite not really needing it, he was almost curious.

"You would help me?" Jonas asked, reaching for one her hands carefully and tangling his fingers with hers.

She beamed at him and squeezed his hand encouragingly. "Did I not already offer to teach you?"

"You did," he agreed, nodding. "I just didn't know if the offer still stood. I don't think there's any reason why I shouldn't learn. It might help me."

"It'd be useful to know either way," she agreed and she took a step closer to steal a kiss.

"Do you think I can learn?" he asked quietly, trying to steal a kiss of his own since she was close now.

"Beka me lass!" George said happily as he wandered in to see her. It was before hockey. He was in an excellent mood. "Did ye miss me?"

"Not near as much as you seem to have missed me," she pointed out, looking amused.

"Oh, aye, an' why d'ye think I'd be missin' ye?" he asked innocently.

"You sound very pleased to be in my presence," she teased him.

"Mayhap I'm jus' in a good mood," George pointed out. "Or mayhap I like ye. Tis a question for certain."

"A good mood would not just bring you here," Beka pointed out. "Unless you're finally planning to get rid of some of that babe's fat."

He frowned at her. "I dun have no babe's fat!" he argued instantly. "Want me t'take me shirt off an' prove it?"

"You can take your shirt off," Beka said, "but it'd do very little to prove your point."

"Twould prove I don' have no babe's fat," George scowled.

Beka smirked and leaned forward to try to pinch his cheeks. "What'd you call that then?"

He frowned, reaching up to try to catch her hand and teasingly tug her closer.

"Them are me cheeks, lass," he said. "Y've a pair of 'em yerself."

"None with babe fat on them," she let him tug her closer only so she could poke his stomach. "You've yet to outgrow it."
