Because of the spring break trip he didn't get to go on, Adrian was here again today behind the bar. At least all the extra hours meant he'd be bringing in more pay-

What was that? He was already disgustingly rich? then at least all the extra hours meant access to more free alcohol.

What was worse, being the guy stuck working at the bar or the guy stuck going places with the bartender?

Dimitri was betting it was the latter. He'd be over here, brooding and wishing he'd never started listening to radio.

Adrian couldn't wait till people got back. And they started coming back to the bar. "Having fun over there?" he asked, not moving himself.

The return of the vacationers would at least provide them a much-needed buffer.

"Yes. Planning your next bet?"

"I tend no to plan them. Takes all the spontaneity out of it. So how much did you lose?" he wondered.

"I'll be cleaning the bathroom drain for months," Dimitri replied, caring not to think of the other games.

Considering he'd only known Kyle was going to play him for anything, Adrian was stuck on, "That's interesting. How did that happen?"

"Shelley is what you might call a shark," Dimitri explained. He shot Adrian a look that was an attempt to warn the Moroi off his roommate.

"I'll keep that in mind for when I never play pool with her," said Adrian. It was too bad he couldn't reassure Dimitri that Shelley thought he was gay anyway. For Dimitri.

Yes...that would be so wonderful to know. Really. "You do that. She seemed happy to meet you."

"Did she?" And just to bug him, added, "What'd she say about me?"

"Nothing worth repeating." Adrian didn't need to hear that he was apparently adorable.

"Which means it was all good?" he guessed, grinning. "It's all right, you can say it."

"I'd rather not encourage you," Dimitri replied. Because Adrian needed so much encouragement.

Adrian nodded. He didn't, in fact, need the encouragement. "It was all good," he said, going to make himself a drink.

Technology hates me today, as does LJ. I swear I'm not trying to TD anyone, notifications are just sucking ass. Have some shirtlessness.
