People were actually back in town again, and so Adrian came prepared for work. With the kitten. Hopefully someone- anyone- who came in today would take it. It was cute and all, but it did not fit his lifestyle. At all. And kept trying to destroy his clothes.

For the moment it was pacing the bartop, making noise like it was trying to outloud the band. At least it was cute? And came with a leash?

[So note to anyone coming in today: Adrian will TOTALLY TRY to compulse you into taking the kitten. It doesn't have to work, and feel free to know he's up to something if you're able, but he'll try. Oh yes. He will try.]

"Beer please," Tyler said as he wandered in, then watched the cat for a minute. "Is that a person or a pet?"

Fandom. You had to ask these things.

"I don't really like animals..." But he was saying it like it was true about someone else, and that objection seemed to be fading away as he reached out to stroke the kitty.

Tyler felt vaguely, weirdly disappointed when the cat left him.

He'd get over it.

"Looks like she likes you better," he shrugged.

"It?" Tyler echoed, before deciding he didn't care that much. Wasn't his cat. "Fine. It likes you. Tino can get me a Heineken."

More time with the dhampir-hating kitten was just what Dimitri had been hoping for tonight. Especially given the way it followed perfectly after his afternoon training with a moody Rose.

He kept an eye on the animal almost as regularly as he leaned his back against the bar, checking the room, always alert for any potential threat to his charge. His job was awesome, thanks.

Adrian always seemed to have some reason to smirk. Part of that Ivashkov charm, surely.

Dimitri raised an eyebrow at the kitten's retreating form. "Have you named it yet?"

"It's been yours for a week," Dimitri pointed out helpfully. "You should make it official." Not that he liked having the hand-attacking cat around, but it would be funny to think of Adrian Ivashkov with a pet.

"I do a lot of things better than I tell jokes," Dimitri agreed. "But observing your animal, I believe I'm correct in thinking it has grown attached." Just look at the way it petted Adrian!

"It's more yours than anyone else's." Compulse away, Adrian, see how well that ends. "You have the means to take care of it."

"Given how it reacts to me?" Surely Adrian didn't think Dimitri needed a new roommate. Or was this his way of volunteering...

"If you keep it, the cat may have to," Dimitri said, ignoring Adrian's idea of it living in his insanely pink apartment.

Scary thought. "Maybe I should ask Rose if she knows anyone in need of a cat..."

"I'll see her in the morning," he said like he was taking the burden from Adrian, when really Dimitri would prefer Adrian never talk to Rose. Call it a bad feeling.
