Cabot & Associates, Saturday

After a week off and a certain amount of...excitement, Roy was glad to be getting back to work. It felt normal, and not in the way that was likely to get him shot or cut up any more, since that was his usual kind of 'normal.' Legal research was kind of boring soothing.

No, he didn't know anything was wrong, yet. Give him time.

Cabot and Associates? That was the name of her mystery client.

Nikki sauntered into the office, wrapping her coat around herself and glancing at the walls. Seemed nice enough, but nothing fancy. Legal aid? Bad sign, unless he was playing that angle in the public. Or rich enough to work for free.

"Hello," she said warmly to the boy at the desk. "Is Mr. Cabot in?"

"Cabot," Nikki said, nodding to the door. "Probably not his associates. I'm going to be his Executive Director of Internal Liaisons. For the campaign."

She didn't know what this guy was running for, yet. Probably something important. Her rates were not cheap.
