Wellspring Arms & Meditation Center, Friday

Price was at work today, still with a slight limp to his walk.

Stupid wolves.

Otherwise he was doing just dandy, happily reorganizing the merchandise a little bit. He'd assist anyone that stopped in, of course.

[ooc: 50,000 OCD threads used to live here. Now it's a ghost town... err, meaning no OCD, open post, I will answer the pings when off work and now I must run to catch my bus, argh.]

Given what he'd heard about this place so far, there was one very important thing on Marcus' mental list: acquire a weapon. This seemed to be the place to go. Once again, he continued to ignore any following shadows; there would be a time and place to deal with them.

"Hey, John," Marcus said as he stepped inside. "Didn't know you worked here."

Now this place Kyle knew to stay well away from. It was the place that sold guns, only it didn't, and it was the mayor's territory, someone he didn't trust. They kept a little extra distance. If there really were guns in there, Kyle knew that Marcus would be able to get one if he absolutely wanted to.

He put a hand up to suggest they stayed further away. "He shouldn't be able to buy anything, but if he comes out with anything, run. Don't look back. Just run."

"He comes out wit' anything, and 'm wonderin' how did he manage it," George pointed out. "Aye, but we'll be gettin' out th'way."

[identity profile] weetinyreese.livejournal.com 2010-04-03 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
Kyle nodded. "Try to get high if he's after you. And aim for the back of the neck if you have to use your knives. If he is armed," and yes, he was being overbearing here, "we're gone. We find another way."

He pointed to a few window ledges within leaping distance from the ground. "Them'll lead up t'th'roofs."

[identity profile] weetinyreese.livejournal.com 2010-04-03 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
"Okay." Plan decided. "If anything happens, I'll cover you. A few shots will slow him down more than a knife."

[identity profile] noearsyet.livejournal.com 2010-04-03 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
George glanced over at Kyle, not entirely thrilled with the reply but acknowledging the wisdom of it. "One day I'll be havin' ye teach me about'em," he mentioned casually as if his hand wasn't making the 'agree' sign with his hand.

[identity profile] weetinyreese.livejournal.com 2010-04-03 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah," Kyle agreed. "You should probably know how to use them." Rifle, shotgun, pistol, you name it, Kyle was going to teach George how to use it. "Shh, he's coming out."

"Hands free," he murmured, glancing over at Kyle as he watch Marcus exit the store.

"I didn't see anything tucked away either. He's clear. Let's go."

The fact that the Mayor owned it gave Marcus pause, but so far it seemed to be the only game in town. "You, too," he replied, because it always paid to be friendly to someone you wanted to sell you a gun. "So, what's the deal with buying a gun in this place?"

[identity profile] notquitewright.livejournal.com 2010-04-03 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
Somehow, he wasn't surprised. "Not a chance, then," he concluded, frustrated, but it didn't show. He'd have to try Plan B--no matter how small the town, there was always someone who'd sell what couldn't be acquired through normal channels. He'd just have to find them. "What about knives?"

[identity profile] notquitewright.livejournal.com 2010-04-03 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
"And when would the man be in?" he asked, though he doubted he'd be offering himself up to the Mayor's scrutiny anytime soon.

Yeah, Marcus wasn't going anywhere near City Hall, not if he had a choice. "Tuesday. I'll try him then." He probably wouldn't. "Appreciate the info," he added, before he turned and left the store.
