FIRE Meeting, Fast Eddie's, Friday 4/16 Evening

As people (hopefully) began to filter in, he stood on a chair to make his little announcement.

"I'd like to thank you all for coming. This isn't going to be a long speech, don't worry. For those that don't know me, I'm Captain John Price. I guess I'm in charge of this little club. Now you'll notice that the staff here aren't charging for the lanes tonight. That's because I worked out a deal. This club will be visiting various establishments around town each week, and we'll basically... show up and have fun. That's about all it's about, folks. Making friends, having a laugh, the simple things. Now you do still have to rent your own shoes, but that's just pittance, ain't it? So feel free to order some refreshment, get bowling, or stop by the arcade. And if you've got suggestions or anything for future meetings, I'll be over there."

He pointed towards the 'Big Game Hunter 3000' arcade machine.

"And that's all the speech you'll be getting. Have some fun already."

[ooc: OCD coming Open! I will be unavailable while at work, but please, come and play!]
[ETA: Yep, it still serves alcohol. My bad! Also, I am around now]

Summer showed up to the FIRE meeting, a bit excited that she was getting out and doing something with her Friday. She couldn't decide if she should bowl first or hit the arcade, so she decided to get a drink first.

Wait, when did Fast Eddies stop serving alcohol?

Dani was rather apprehensive about the idea of renting bowling shoes, but the fact that she even showed up was impressive.

Cindy didn't even have to rent bowling shoes; she had her own pair for those infrequent times she bowled.

Seriously, what was the point of owning a shoe store if one had to rent footwear from places?

Right now she was casually keeping an eye on things (things being everyone and everything), while pretending to sip her soda and lounge on a seat.

[Epic SP warning, but wanted to get her out!]

Kris wasn't much of a bowler, but she figured it was a good idea to get to know more people. Also, she thought it could be fun.

Deadpool just haaaad to raise his hand now. Like a gradeschooler, yes. Because it was more fun that way.

"Question, oh bearded captain who isn't Tim Cruise."

"Co-worker!" A beat. "Well, technically you're my employee, but those are just the nasty lil' details of this sordid life we teachers live. Someday we'll have a show where Coldplay and Snow Patrol play insistently to show how much we feel."

Deadpool pointed like he knew her, but shrugged instead. "Yeah, I got nothin'."

Heedless of any sort of slowplaying, Deadpool needed to get his pimp on by talkin' to all the ladies. Oh yeah.

"Your own shoes? How classy."

Meet Deadpool, Kris. He was possibly going to make inappropriate comments about you and ogle you a bit.

Oh, who are we kidding? He's totally going to do that.

"Have we met or am I just mixing up usernames?" Just... go with it.

"Pretty sure we haven't." Kris would have remembered that. "Unless we met online sometime and I just didn't know it."

"...on 4chan?" Yeah, because that was quite the social networking site.

"4 what?" Kris had no idea, and that was probably a good thing. "I admit, I'm not much of an Internet user."

"Well, maybe now's the time to get on that," Deadpool pointed out. "Lest the information age pass you by. Can you see it? Passing you by?"

Given Oz's habit of wearing bowling shirts, it should come as no surprise to anyone that he was here. Though it'd been awhile since he'd been bowling. He hoped he hadn't gotten too rusty.

Oh, look. Guitar Hero Arcade. Oz would be here awhile.

Re: Bowl!

[identity profile] loyal-type.livejournal.com 2010-04-17 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
Oz carefully tested the balls to see which one was just the right weight. This call is too heavy. This ball is too light. Ah, this ball was just right.

And green. Cool.
