Atlas Gym | Wednesday
Opening the gym in Beka's stead had seemed like a good idea initially. As expected, Jessi had shown early for her usual classes, but at that point Dimitri had good reason to retreat into his office to field a call from the Academy about some travel plans that needed to be finalized, no matter other issues with his novice.
Dimitri was just stowing his phone in a pocket when he felt the strangest itch inside his ear. Reaching up to scratch it, Dimitri suddenly toppled off his chair and landed in a pool of fabric on the hard floor. Try as he might, Dimitri couldn't seem to grab hold of the fabric to tear it from his head. Annoyed to have his ears pressing against his head, he shook with all his might and popped out from under the shirt.
Hmm. He didn't recall the desk being so high. Or the bag lunch on top of it smelling so good. Dimitri's stomach rumbled. His nose lifted in the air as he sniffed deeply, front paws--paws?--pressing against the table leg before long, sharp claws automatically dug into the wood, dragging him off the ground.
Uh.
This is the part where putting in extra time at work was clearly a poor choice on Dimitri's part. Especially when the door to the office was closed. At least he had that lunch...now, to get at it without his bear bum slipping down the table leg in a laughable manner.

Work It Out
Office of the Bear
Beware.
Re: Office of the Bear
It was the little things sometimes, yes.
The little things like coming back to the gym pretty early in the day to see if she could talk Dimitri into letting her try that key and making use of his apartment while Shelley worked. Those little things that tried to keep other steadily growing bigger things like continuing headaches and odd flickerings from mattering so much.
Rose pushed the door open, expecting to see Dimitri in the office. Uh. "Dimitri?" She was considering calling him, yes. Crazy talk.
Re: Office of the Bear
Re: Office of the Bear
No Dimitri, but she stared as she realised there was a tiny animal-thing of some sort on the desk. "Dimitri?" she asked again, having been in Fandom long enough to guess the answer to that one. What kind of little animal was that?
Re: Office of the Bear
As she moved closer, he took note of her presence and stood on all fours, craning his bear face toward her with a slight snarl. Someone wasn't exactly happy to be stuck this way.
Re: Office of the Bear
She stopped on the other side of the desk, trying not to smirk a lot. "You're kinda cute as a bear."
Re: Office of the Bear
Maybe he could just knock it over and try nosing his way inside...or the bag could rip, that worked too.

Re: Office of the Bear
"D'you want to come with me, and I'll try to find you some?" Rose asked, reaching out to try to pet the adorable bear's head. "Or I can come back with food."
Re: Office of the Bear
He reared up, letting his furry face press against her hand with the force of...a tiny animal.
Re: Office of the Bear
Dimitri had sharp teeth and claws. She didn't know how much he was getting, but she really didn't need to get bitten so courtesy with the wee bear seemed the best bet.
Re: Office of the Bear
Unfortunately when he attempted to voice this, all he could share were wee squeaky bear talking noises. No matter how wide he opened his jaws. Frustrating.
Re: Office of the Bear
"You're gonna be so pissed when you get human again," Rose teased in response to the squeaky noises as she leaned down to shake out his clothes and fold them quickly to put 'em in his chair. No need for anyone think he'd just disappeared. "Cause I'm going to remind you how adorable you are forever." Which somehow reminded her she should grab his phone. Since Adrian might need something before Dimitri was human-sized again. "Where'd you put your phone before you became a bear cub?"

She bobbled the bear for a moment, unsure of what to do with him, then settled him against her chest, hoping a lot he wasn't going to end up getting angry and savaging her cause seriously. She didn't need claws in her face and boobs, eww.
Re: Office of the Bear
Re: Office of the Bear
"Okay, um, honey and berries and fish and stuff," Rose decided, grabbing the lunch just in case as she started towards the door. Right, where'd you get stuff like that? What's up with Fandom that made stuff like this totally normal.
Re: Office of the Bear
Pressed against her chest, he pawed the air in the direction of the bag lunch she was holding.
Re: Office of the Bear
Re: Office of the Bear
He really didn't appreciate the way his claws snagged on the fabric, either.
Re: Office of the Bear
"You pack the dorkiest lunches," Rose teased, extricating half of a sandwich. "Here, try this and don't yell at me if it makes your bear tummy sick or something."
Re: Office of the Bear
Dimitri would have normally explained the nutritious quality of the foods in his lunch, but as a bear all he seemed to care about was reaching his muzzle to nudge at the bread before trying to tug it away from Rose.
Re: Office of the Bear
Re: Office of the Bear
Finished in moments, he glanced up at her and cocked his head to try talking again. She should really learn to speak grumbly bear.

Any other way would break the balance he was working to maintain without stabbing her shoulder too horribly. And his way only got a few crumbs on her.
Re: Office of the Bear
Re: Office of the Bear
Meaning the baby bear was standing on her shoulder, licking its front paw and paying no attention.
Re: Office of the Bear
Re: Office of the Bear
Extreme patience was still on his side. He didn't even seem to mind her petting him like a dog.
Re: Office of the Bear
And if he was going to make her wait while he finished his snack, she was going to keep petting his soft little ears.

Re: Office of the Bear
He would get behind anything that kept her away. Maybe he should headbutt Rose so she understood.
Granted, his version of a headbutt was more of a sideways lean with his body weight behind it.
