The Perk, Friday Afternoon

After getting settled at the hotel, Isabel made her way to the Perk. Finals were starting on Monday and she planned on getting some studying done while she waited for her coffee date.

Of course she'd probably get more studying done if she actually paid attention to her notes instead of watching who was coming and going in case it was someone she knew.

[OOC: Expecting one or two but absolutely open to all. I'm bored. Random bouts of SP through about 7:30 because of RLL]

Johnny wasn't about to pass up the Perk, especially since he figured Isabel would have her butt parked there.

He was pleased to find that he was right.

With a laid back, self-assured grin, he slid into the empty seat across from her table. "Hey, gorgeous."

Isabel had managed to get focused enough on her notes that she missed Johnny coming into the Perk. But she knew that voice anywhere.

Studying forgotten, she grinned. "How's it going handsome? Miss me?"

"Can't complain," he said, winking at her. "I missed you about as much as you missed me." Which was saying something, wasn't it?

"Awwww," Isabel smiled, reaching across the table to give his hand a squeeze. "That's a lot. You're doing good though?"

A hand squeeze? Oh, no. Johnny wasn't going to settle for just a little squeeze. He stood as he spoke. "I'll be doing a hell of a lot better once I get a hug." And that would be him, reaching for her.

"And far be it from me to disappoint you," she laughed, getting to her own feet and hugging him tightly. "I really have missed you. No one flirts with me like you do."

"That's a shame," he said, hugging her close. "I guess you should just come home with me so I can spoil you with it."

Meg probably should be back in California studying but she just couldn't resist graduation. She'd get some studying done in the hotel room. Maybe. She'd need coffee for that.

"Hey!" Meg squeed said excitedly when she spotted Isabel. "How's it going?"

"Finals suck dead toads," Isabel said, closing her notebook and pushing it to the side. "My first one's on Monday. It will not be fun. How about you? How's life at Stanford?"

"Busy. I've got finals coming up too," she said. "Tell me again why I want to be a lawyer?"

"Because you get to wear fancy suits and look all impressive taking someone apart on the witness stand?" she offered.

"I do look nice in those tailored suits," Meg agreed with a nod. "I guess it's worth giving up any semblance of a social life."

"Social life? What's that?" Isabel asked curiously.

Sam came in for an afternoon pick-me-up, and grinned when he saw Isabel. "Hey! How are you?"

"A hell of a lot better then the last time I saw you," Isabel replied with a grin of her own. "Happy Graduation!"

"I don't know if it's happy. It means I have to leave at some point," Sam teased.

"Well if it makes you feel better. The insanity does follow you off island," she promised. "Last weekend my family had to deal with weetiny versions of Wyatt and I."

"Oh no," Sam said, even as he laughed. "Well, then maybe it's a good thing Peter and I will be together. We can at least deal with the insanity with each other."

"And Nathan can provide the adult supervision." He was a much better choice in Isabel's mind then Angela. "Which is required. Unless you want wacky hijinks. Wyatt turned me into a six winged butterfly. My brother's girlfriend almost hyperventilated."

"What are you going to be doing in New York? School?"

No way was Peter going to be on the island without visiting the Perk. When he showed up sometime when Sam wasn't there he grinned when he saw Isabel. "Hey."

Isabel looked up from her notebook and raised an eyebrow. "I seem to remember something about how I'm supposed to yell at you."

"Really?" Peter looked innocent. "Huh. I don't remember anything about that."

"Gee, I wonder why?" she said, rolling her eyes and frowning sternly. "Dumbass."

But it was too hard to keep the fact that Isabel was thrilled to see him contained for long and she grinned. "Get over here and give me a hug. Maybe I'll forget as well."

Like Peter could say no to that. He went over and to give Isabel a tight hug. "It's good to see you."

"You to," Isabel said quietly. "You had me worried there for a while. You're okay now though?"
