Fraser, being the kind fiancé he was (and sane person), had brought home some of the enormous graduation brunch cake. Robin had been steadily working through it, to the degree that tonight, she was behind the bar eating yet another slice of cake.

So what if it was a few days old. Cake didn't go bad. At least, as far as Robin could tell. Besides, she'd made Tino eat a bit, too, so if she got food poisoning she was taking him down with her.

"I wasn't aware the bar served cake," Price said, settling into a seat at the bar. "Not that I plan on ordering any. Whiskey and cake are not a good mix, I imagine."

"First of all, how dare you, cake and whiskey are amazing," Robin said. "Secondly, Benton brought it home from the graduation brunch on Sunday. We have a lot of it. Apparently there was kind of a ton of cake."

"Well, at least it isn't going to waste," Price said, very smartly not adding any comments about Robin's waist.

"But I'll have the whiskey all the same. If you please."

Eh, Robin survived college and subsequent years of going to a bar every single night. Her waist would survive, anyway.

She got his whiskey, and added, "I'm pretty sure booze and cake was like, my entire diet from ages twenty to twenty-four. And I turned out fine."

"We do things right up our Canadian colleges," Robin assured him, arching a brow. "I'm pretty sure most things are better than prison food."

"I'd say it's a long story, but it's actually rather simple," Price said. "Don't worry. Didn't quite break any American or Canadian or British law."
