Strokes of Genius, Monday 10

So Jane had heard there was some sort of picnic going on, new people arriving and everything. She had done the usual stuff and kept herself away from that, well aware that there wasn't anyone in that crowd she knew, besides the customers that came to her store. The fact she was completely sure she wasn't going to find John on that crowd was another important factor, but she was trying not to think about that. Which in turn had made her a silent presense on the counter, almost like a living statue. She didn't feel like making drawings at the moment.

Strokes of Genius was open for business.

She's not in the chit chatting mood though.

Classes were starting this week and Paige figured she should probably stop by and find out what days her new boss actually wanted her to work now that she was done teaching.

"Hey, Jane, how's it going?"

Jane waved a hand in the air, trying to brush off some of her mood. "It's going, Paige; it's going. I guess there isn't much else to do in this particular day." She had enough of a mind to remember the woman was still looking to work here. And they hadn't decided her days. "So, still willing to work in Strokes of Genius, I take?"

"I would love to," Paige said. "Just wondering what days you needed me here."

"Well, I always open the store on Mondays, Katchoo does it on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and Lily on Fridays." She hadn't checked on them as much as she wanted, and had honestly missed Lily to the point she wasn't sure of the girl worked for her or not.

"Tuesdays are a good day, or Saturdays. Is that alright with you?"

"I can do both, if you want," Paige said. "Keep me busy and out of trouble."

[ooc: I believe Katchoo is gone for the first term on the senior trip and I think Lily is leaving the island based on last Thursday's radio. FYI :D]

"Oh, that's great; I might want to open the store some Tuesday, maybe, but we can work on that." Well, it seemed like she had a new assistant.

What, was she supposed to make an evil laugh now? She simply smiled at Paige. "You can start working whenever you feel ready."

"Well, I can stick around now for a couple of hours and get a run down on how everything works," Paige said. "I feel pretty good about knowing the products since I've been an artist for so long so I really just need to know the layout of the store and how to work the register."

Plus this would be totally better than all that crazy temp work she had done last year.

...Because there are meant to be at least two, right? Hello?

Exams week incoming! I might even need to study this time.
