The Park - Tuesday afternoon - 5/11
Liir wasn't doing anything particularly interesting, but at least he had good companions. On one side, Makejoy trotted along happily at the level of his hip. On the other, Anahata bounced along with them.
Dogs needed walking, after all.
Some time later, there was a break for a bit of fetch and some water. Thankfully, he'd thought to bring a bottle and a pair of bowls for the dogs so they could all enjoy it even if the day was a bit nippy.
[lots of open here! open post, open park, etc.!]

"Liir! And Makejoy, and..." She paused, and raised an eyebrow. "Is that Joan's dog?"

She might notice a few tweaks, a few changes. His skin was tanned a little darker, his hair was... no, about the same, but his back was straighter and he definitely seemed more present. Firmer in his skin.
"Kate, hello," he said with a quick bow of his head. Makejoy of course went over to greet her properly, as did Anahata.
"And yes. I'm watching her as Joan is on her trip."

"Oh, yeah, the trip that almost makes me weep with envy. She promised postcards."
no subject
"Though I don't really envy her the trip. I did quite enough traveling of late."

Much like she noticed the changes in his appearance now that she turned to him. She wasn't going to say anything about that, though. Not straight away, anyway.

"Really? And I thought myself such a homebody."
He ruffled Makejoy's neck, then did the same for Anahata.
"How've you been while I was running all across Oz like a madman?"

He smiled at her.
"I'm glad you're well. And I'll have to cook something sometime soon. I've missed stoves."
no subject
Wow, she should probably call home again one of these days. But she shook that thought away to raise an eyebrow at him.
"So, no stoves in Oz, or were you just running too hard to use them?"
no subject
"Wheee!"

"Running, mostly," he admitted, "but I've returned for as long as is possible. Yourself?"

[there was movie and then passing out. Apologies!]

"How are you? You look well, but I know that appearances can be deceiving."
