Chilly Boulder [noon]

The staff of Chilly Boulder wouldn't let Ben inside.

Okay, that wasn't technically true. There was a small mountain of bags (some of which Ben had sworn he'd shoved into his bunk in his cabin) currently blocking the doorway. He gave a Force-shove to the "TORTURED BY COUSIN" trunk and the "AFRAID OF THE DARK SIDE" set of matched luggage and called into the guy behind the counter, "It's not my fault!"

And nearly got crushed by a falling "USES HUMOR TO DEFLECT ISSUES" crate.

It was shaping up to be quite a day.

[OOC: Ben's here waiting for Kyle but totally interruptible before then.]

"You could try setting it on fire," Kyle suggested when he saw Ben's predicament.

Kyle didn't try to read any of the bags. "Ice cream?" he suggested. "It's the only other thing I can think of that could make things better."

"Bacta doesn't sound like it tastes as good." Kyle stepped around the excess baggage to try to reach the store. "But you're the ice cream master. What's good?"

"It's the same for me at Luke's. They have great burgers. I don't know about ice cream. I like chocolate and vanilla and strawberry."

"I don't think so. I've never eaten anything I've had a bad reaction to unless it went bad." Mmm food poisoning. Thankfully he'd avoided botulism growing up.

"You're the authority," Kyle replied with a satisfied nod. He ordered the chocolate fudge chunk. "What are you getting?"

[identity profile] weetinyreese.livejournal.com 2010-05-29 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
"Hot and cold," Kyle mused. "With added potassium. That's almost a meal."

"Maybe it's because it's too sweet," Kyle guessed. "But if it fills you up, it's a meal. Yours is even more of a meal because it has fruit. That's healthy!"

Kyle glanced at the bag. "You're getting a lot of that stuff."

[identity profile] weetinyreese.livejournal.com 2010-05-30 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
"Any idea how to get rid of it?"

[identity profile] weetinyreese.livejournal.com 2010-05-30 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
"It could be mine," Kyle admitted. "Or theirs," he gestured to the server behind the counter.

Kyle gave a nod of agreement. "We don't need bags to tell us what our problems are. And they don't cover everything anyway. I don't see one that says 'Not enough ice cream'."

"Maybe that bag was too big to be delivered. Or they didn't know who to send it to, since it should belong to everyone."

A footlocker appeared at his feet which read Machines trying to murder everyone he knows. And he'd been doing so well.

Kyle looked down. "Yeah. That one's mine." He tried to push it away with his boot.
