The front of the general store was filled with old-fashioned bicycles with baskets attached to the handlebars today. There were all sizes and colors: Red, blue, silver, purple with pink handlebars ...
And each and every bicycle had a fleshy, ruddy unsliced mango sitting proudly in the basket. Didi asked Apu what was going on, but wouldn't even meet her eyes as he plead ignorance.
She snagged a plump mango from the basket of a pink bicycle, planning to slice it for lunch, and made a sign for the front window:
SPECIAL SALE: FREE BICYCLE WITH EVERY MANGO PURCHASED.
Squishy Flavors: Mango, Chili Mango, Mango Pineapple
T&C was open. Mind the bicycles.

boring ass day at workbusy day today! He had all these baskets, even after giving some away, so he figured the next best things to do with his baskets was do a little shopping! He could put his purchases right in the basket! It seemed almost serendipitous.Although intending to do some browsing in the shelves, it was impossible not to notice the excellent sale. "Free bicycle with every mango purchased!" he repeated the sign's good news with clear delight. "What an outrageous deal!"

There was, however, a slight lingering in his voice that may have signified being unable to refuse a chance to ride around the actual story. A day like this, it was good to embrace a certain playful side to oneself.

It was possibly even more whimsical than mangoes in bicycle baskets had been to start with.
"Y'know, I think you could test it out in the store," she suggested. "The aisles are pretty wide and we aren't that busy. Have you ridden a bicycle before?"

"I'm not sure," he said playfully. "Is it anything like riding a dolphin or a seahorse?"
Because he'd done those. Of course he'd done those.

"You bet there are! It would be kind of difficult to ride on a difficult one. Well, unless you were shrunk down to atom size. That happened to me and a friend, once; we had to go inside Batman to battle the evil inside of his bloodstream, in an adventure I like to call 'Journey to the Center of the Bat!'"

Ignore Apu. He always glares when Didi gives stuff away.
