The Magic Box, Monday

Alex opened up the shop and decided the scenery needed changing. Perhaps a tropical beach setting? If nothing else, maybe the scent of the ocean in the store would be enough.

She'd turn things back to normal at the end of her shift.

It was the perfect opportunity for Harper to visit her friend at work.

"Hey Alex, I stopped by the Perk and got you a lemonade... whoa!" said Harper, momentarily distracted. "This looks awesome. It even smells like the ocean!"

Alex might have laughed a tiny bit at Harper's reaction.

"It certainly is magical," she replied, smirking just a bit. Sometimes she just cracked herself up.

"It depends, I guess," Alex admitted. "Some things I can do with just a wave of my wand. On the other hand, there are some spells that I have to memorize and recite word for word. If I mix up the words, it can get interesting."

Justin might have a different opinion on that.

"I can do this," Alex answered and with a wave of her wand, she was suddenly wearing a different outfit. "I can do some transformations and travel in time, among other things."

It felt really good to be able to talk to Harper about her wizard powers. No more hiding.

Alex wasn't sure how to answer that but she'd give it a shot. "Well, I'm not supposed to tell anyone about my powers but a) it's Fandom and b) you're my best friend. I couldn't hide it from you for much longer and to be honest, I didn't want to."

She offered Harper a small smile. "I just couldn't figure out how to do it, for a while there."
