Dite's Decadent Delights
After almost a month away from the store, it felt a little odd to be back behind the counter again.
Visiting the store with her parents (and that hadn't been awkward, no not at all) meant she'd noticed that 'Dite was making some changes to the stock and inventory, but she hadn't really been able to see exactly what the goddess had been up to. Saying, "Mom, Dad, mind waiting here while I count the number of vibrators in the back room?" just hadn't seemed like a good idea at the time.
Since Karla had no intention of sitting still and letting herself think for any extended period of time, she decided that now would be an excellent time to get a better idea of what changes 'Dite had implemented. Three cheers for useful distractions!

Talk to Karla
Re: Talk to Karla
Maybe not.
...Now he only needed to find her, the counter empty.
Re: Talk to Karla
"Kiss kiss?" she said, giving him a wave and her best unsure-but-game smile. "Welcome to 'Dite's?"
Re: Talk to Karla
He took a moment to look around, still uncomfortable. "Nice store."
Yep, it was going well.
Re: Talk to Karla
You know, when her dead parents hadn't made a surprise guest appearance at her school or something.
"Don't worry, it's neither an invitation nor a demand. Your innocence--or lack thereof--is safe with me," she added, dimpling at him. "And thank you. Is there something I can help you find today?"
Karla had promised answers. She'd never promised she'd make them easy.
Re: Talk to Karla
Fandom females were a dangerous kind. Tifa would fit right in.
"I was wondering if I get to keep the Prince title, or if it was only for...whatever it was for."

He looked around, noticing the differences from the last time he was here; he hoped that someone would be able to help him make some deci--that was entirely too large to be based on real human parts.
He shuddered, not so much as the purpose of such things but to the grotesqueness. "Hallo, the shop!"
[Um. Hi. Do you mind SP?]

Re: Talk to Karla
"The lady would first need a better idea of what you're looking for," Karla replied tartly. "And for why. If you were looking for one of these, just in a slightly smaller form, all such stock is in the second room." And, because she was Karla, she had to pick up the object and use it as a pointer. Just to be difficult. "If not, I'll need more information. Alternately, I can just hand you items at random until I chance upon something useful."
All the while, she was sternly telling herself she would not blush. Not. No blushing. Nope.

"Something romantic. With swords. And maybe, I dunno. Tangos. That would be great." Dinah grimaced. "Candlelight and true love and sex might be too much to ask for, I guess."
Re: Talk to Karla
But at Dinah's spoken words, Karla grew confused. "Why would candlelight, true love, and sex be too much to ask for? Umm, perhaps you were confused about which shop you wandered into?"
Karla reached for a book at random, pulling it down and flipping through the pages. "'Oh my darling!' Tessa gasped aloud as Elric's hand found her breast through the sheer fabric of her chemise," Karla read aloud. "She arched her back to him, baring her ivory throat for him to sear with his burning kisses. Ow, that actually sounds kind of painful. Anyway...Elric slowly backed her against the wall, pressing his body against hers until she could feel every hard inch of him." She closed the book and raised an eyebrow at Dinah. "Maybe well-written sex is at a premium, but I'm pretty sure you can find something."
Re: Talk to Karla
She reached out to squeeze Karla's arm. Did it go okay after we saw you guys in the Common Room?"

She breathed a sigh of relief at finding Karla at the store, and decided to act as normally as possible. "Hey, Karla, have you seen my --"
Noticing Dinah, she stopped. Oh, Styx. It seemed a proper curse to use.
Be normal, right. "Um, have you seen my phone? I think I left it here."

Karla couldn't entirely blame him, either. After all, she'd been wearing something similar when they'd met. "I went through and did a lot of the inventory, too," she added. "So that's up to date."

Smiling brightly, Dinah said, "'Dite. Can we talk?" Not really a request.
She kind of looked like Carolyn there, just for a minute.
Re: Talk to Karla
"Dinah, hi." She gave her a half smile, knowing what was coming. "Sure; let me run up to the office and see about my phone, and then we can talk, okay? Or," if she was going to get yelled at, it might as well happen in private instead of making Karla relive it, "you could come up with me?"
Re: Talk to Karla
Dinah followed 'Dite close enough that if she tried to sparkle away? She was gonna get tackled en-route.
