"You were not?" he asked, tracing a little pattern on her skin with his forefinger.

"Maybe," she admitted, resting her head back down. "Maybe just a bit."

The finger became the whole hand. "Just a bit? Well, then, I suppose I should go find Betsy again," he teased.

That got another raised eyebrow and a slow smile. "She doesn't have a horse named Helen either. And I'm not sure she has sex on the first meeting."

"Is that what you think I'm after?" he said, aghast. His hand kept moving. "I am shocked. Shocked, I say."

He was not looking very indignant.

"Mmmhmm," she said lazily. "I happen to know someone that you seduced into having sex with you at your first meeting. Not that she was in any way displeased, but it does speak to the likelihood of it happening again."

That might just be her hand stroking up his arm.

"If she is not displeased, then it sounds like she is celebrating it," he said. "And it's not like I'll tumble any pretty face that walks by."

Probably not, as this might be a monogamous thing, or merely a fling.

"Oh?" she said, feeling unaccountably pleased. "Well, she certainly is celebrating it, but I'm sure she'd be glad to hear that as well."

She didn't know if this was monogamous either or just a lengthy fling, but she certainly wasn't looking for anyone else to be with. However, neither was she looking to ask how he felt about it. She was just going to enjoy what they had until he tired of her.

"I'm glad she's celebrating it; here's hoping it was not a one-time event," he said, smirking a bit.

There were a lot of pretty faces on the island, and a lot of attractive male students as well; he had expectations, albeit low at the moment, that she might find one better suited to her than he.

"Oh, somehow I don't think it will be," she said with a smug look.

"Oh? Do you have proof?" he asked. "Perhaps you should ask her if it will happen again."

Like now.

She considered for a moment. "Oh yes. I'm certain that it will."

Like now, perhaps.

"You seem fairly confident in that," he said, moving up a bit under the fabric.

"Mmmhmmm," she said with another slow smile. "Oh, I am."

His eyebrow qurked as if to say "Oh, really?" as his hand crept a little bit further, near the underside of a swell.

And in response she leaned in to kiss him.

Somehow, his hand ended up in a very delightful place as she leaned in; he held the kiss for a moment, enjoying her closeness.

"I'm glad you came in looking to ride that day," she whispered against his lips.

"As am I," he murmured, after the kiss. "And for the days after."

She traced the lines of his face delicately. "Oh yes, very much so."

He grinned, leaning in to her touch, not speaking, just enjoying the moment.

It was too hard to hold back and she was tired of trying so she leaned in a little closer and kissed him gently, hand still on his cheek.

"Happy to see you," he said, kissing her again.

"Mmm..." she murmured happily.

"Even if you're not Betsy," he teased, putting his own hand on her face, mirroring her.
