Magic/Support Reserves: the Beach, Wednesday After Classes

As if to make up for the lack of meeting last week, the plans for Magic and Support reserves this week were action-packed and very complex.

They were detailed on the posters put up in the usual spot behind the dorms.

It took three whole lines.

Magic/Support Reserves End of Summer Survival Celebration

Meet at the beach. Bring sunscreen and a towel.

Free cookies.

Beach party? Oh Leda was so there.

She lost little time in stripping off her tank top and skirt when she arrived, revealing a one piece bathing suit underneath.

It had been entirely too long since Jono had left his room for anything beyond school or work, and so today he was going to get out, be active, and be social for a change.

It was one of those moves he made that was the Jono equivalent to "CLEAN ALL THE THINGS."

At any rate, he had also decided to meet the beach party on his own terms for once, which meant that he'd come wearing a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, and his bandages were more or less waterproof. If he was going to get wet today, he wasn't going to end up throwing out any more leather, damn it.

Peter was definitely getting a lot of sun and sand lately. He definitely didn't get a lot of this back in Boston. He was out in swim trunks, and he was quite happy to eat a couple cookies. Wait an hour before swimming be darned.

Angela had already had her last class, both official and TA-ed. So now was the time to make the most of her last week here, and be sociable and beach it up.

Sun, sea, sand and cookies. There was no bad here.

Alex wasn't going to complain about having their meeting -- er, celebration on the beach. She was all for surf, sand and sweets.

Alexander didn't know what sunscreen was, but he did know what a towel was, so he had one of those. He didn't know what the beach had to do with anything, but if it meant not talking about magic, he'd be happy.

He would make sure to eat plenty of cookies, though, just in case. Couldn't talk with your mouth full, after all.

It was unusual for Leda to go swimming without heavy encouragement. You can blame the nearly dangerous amounts of coffee Leda had drunk earlier for her enthusiasm.

Now if only she had a pretty girl or handsome boy to play with.

Please. Sookie/Beach OTP. She was there, lounging on a towel in her favorite bikini, just enjoying the sunshine. There was only so much of it left in the year.

She was a little subdued after Drake's class, but-- carpe-ing the diem and all that-- Kennedy wasn't not going to take advantage of the occasion to get some sunshine and hang out looking awesome in a swimsuit.

There were no beaches in St. Louis. Funny thing, that, being in the middle of the country and all.

Like hell Katchoo wasn't taking advantage of this one; sunscreen, towel, surprisingly less-than-modest string bikini, check. Towel in a sunny spot and drink beside her, check. Sunglasses, check.

If she was keeping her forearms tucked behind her head as she sprawled in the sun, though . . . well. Too frikkin' bad if you were curious or something.

Francine did not whistle. She was kind of tempted to, because hello bikini, then decided it would make her look dumb, so she settled for dropping a towel beside Katchoo's and asking, "Is this beach taken?"

Okay, so, Reno had intended to go to that other reserve group yesterday. The one he had helped to found alongside Arthur and Leto, back when. But he'd been a little inundated with two cats, a ferret, and a duck all cohabiting in a tiny cabin alcove, and hadn't had it in him to face the barrage of noise that he'd be met with to leave at least a few of them stranded in his apartment for the afternoon.

Today? Today was a brand new day. Today he'd managed to make it to the beach with just one critter in tow, and Elena-the-cat was more than welcome to prowl the beach without him while he did really important things to write back to Arthur about.

Like bopping a volleyball into the air a few times, and then serving it away in order to chase it down and return it to himself, because, hey, if he was going to be playing on the beach, then dammit, he was going to at least be productive about it.

Ohhhhh. The beach part made sense after all!

Alexander hardly came dressed in bathing clothes, however, clearly having had a moment of stupidity regarding the whole thing. That didn't stop him, though, from pulling his jerkin over his head and taking off his boots and stockings to best enjoy the beach.

And thank the heavens, no magic!

She was, however, too lazy to do anything except lie on a blanket and watch the waves, looking decidedly smug. Maybe later she'd get a cookie.

Francine was not, in fact, too lazy to ping in get her butt to the beach. She might even have have summoned the energy to grab a cooler and two or three quart-size containers of ice cream to drag along with her for the sharings.
