It was Hannibal's last shift at Caritas. Kind of bittersweet really. He didn't think he'd exactly miss Tino but he'd miss...he'd miss the bar a lot. He'd miss the free alcohol and the crappy band and he'd miss having a job like this.

When Tino didn't give him a goodbye card, Hannibal scowled and banished him to wash toilets. He had to take advantage of his last night with authority while he could.

Okay, there was a sleepover tonight. But as much fun as that could be... (and she remembered the last time really damn well) there was nowhere else Angela would be spending her last night in Fandom than riiiight here. With him.

So she was taking over a barstool front and centre and no one was going to take it away from her. Seriously. She's tougher than she looks.

"... Actually, start with a Long Island iced tea. I'll work my way up to the bizarre."

Hannibal smiled and stepped back to start making the Long Island iced tea. "All packed up?"

"Almost." She was still putting off sorting out the last of it. "Certain things it's better to pack on the day, you know?"

"I want to be able to shower without having to empty an entire suitcase."

"Dared?" Angela shook her head. "No. If I was getting something for it... I might consider it." But probably wouldn't actually do it.

When the sun had gone down, Jessica emerged from her apartment -- her very own apartment! -- and went out looking for the Caritas place Sookie had mentioned to her. She had to stop and stare at the zombies for a very long moment and not panic because the smell reminded her of the man she'd left under Bill's house. Then she put on her best smile and went up to cute guy at the bar. "Hi there," she said. "Are you the owner of this place?"

"Who, me?" Hannibal asked once he realized that the new chick at the bar was talking to him. "Nah, just an employee. You one of Chuck's girls or something?"

"Chuck's the owner," he said, putting his drink down so he could laugh a bit. "Guessing you're new, aren't you?"

"Oh! Yes," Jessica said. "I only got here on Monday. I'm a friend of Sookie's, well, sorta. Do you know her?"

"I'm from Louisiana, yeah," Jessica said. "I was livin' in Bon Temps before I came here, and she helped me find an apartment yesterday. But now I gotta find a job to pay for it and all."

Not that he had, mind you. He'd just had a lot of drinks.
