Karla was doing inventory today. Not of the store, but of her own private stash of teas, salves, herbs, and various other sundries. Unsurprisingly, she was running pretty low on certain things--particularly her hangover remedy. A day spent behind a table full of herbs was due pretty soon. Hmmm...and maybe a day making perfumes, too? Jaenelle's eighteenth birthday was drawing close and Karla was drawing a blank when it came to presents.

This school was in desperate need of a stillroom.

Karla looked up from where she was counting out bundles of herbs and flashed Cloud a smile. "Kiss kiss," she said. "What, you've never seen an improvised herb table before?"

"Trying to figure out what I have and what I need," Karla explained. "I make a lot of brews and salves, and the last thing I need is to start making up a vat of moontime tea and find out I'm missing horsetail or valerian or something."

"Or something", Cloud conceded, wondering if Karla was talking about teas or poisons, or both. Probably both. Anything with a horsetail could possibly taste good. "I'm guessing you restock on your own world?"

Oh, how right Cloud was about that.

Well, not the horsetail, since that was also an herb as well, but the poisons? Spot on.

"For some things," Karla said, "though a lot of basic herbs have some overlap. Though there are some things--" like witchblood "--that I can only get at home."

A lot of the herbs in the mixture of poisons she used to stimulate her poison sac were only available in Kaeleer.

He was good like that, really!

"I would imagine that", and at the same time, he couldn't, since he knew nothing of herbs, leave alone magic herbs. "If I had to bring something from my world...besides my motorcycle..." He had already brought Fenrir -which needed fine tuning and somewhere to be ridden safely-, and he was enough of a weirdo to be content enough. And honestly, Gaia wasn't a happy place at the time.

"I would probably bring 7th Heaven, I guess." With bartender included, why not?

"Hmmm..." Karla tried to decide what she'd bring to Fandom if she could bring back anything. "Let's see, if I could bring back SaDiablo Hall, that would mean all my friends could come, too, but that might be pushing things."

Huh. Asking to bring Sceval for all the unicorns probably counted for the same.
