Holiday or no, Ender wasn't going to keep from working. In fact, he had put the HELP WANTED sign back up in front of the window, along with the little note that said Technology Shop - All Questions Answered, because he had a feeling there were still some newbies roaming around who could use it.

Then he turned back to his laptop, and went to work.

Jenny's signs from Friday were still up when Makita came in, so she opted to leave them up and content herself with arming the mannequins with water guns. Someone had discovered the Bund movies this weekend, and had laughed herself silly.

The Park, Monday Morning

For the past week and a half, Jono's days had consisted mostly of people, of new roommates and worried friends and people needing his help with one thing or another at either of his jobs, with not a moment in edgewise for himself.

Today, Jono was taking that moment. He'd made a quick stop at J,GoB to pick up a couple of bagels, and then he'd made his way back to the park, taking a seat on a bench by the duck pond. There was almost a sort of ceremony to it, watching the birds muddle their way over from the water's edge and letting them settle in before tossing a piece of bagel at them, sending them all diving for it at once.

He still hated the birds, and the birds still hated him. But this was... therapeutic.

Alex was situated behind the counter with her laptop, surfing the world wide wiz web. She wondered if she should send some prank wizard mail to Justin. It might be fun.

The Gig, Monday [9/6]

It occurred to Dani, as she was mucking out stalls, that maybe the reason she was having trouble finding new employees was that the job wasn't very glamorous.

So once she was done, she ran back to the office to change out of her messy clothes and into her a dress shirt, breeches and her best leather riding boots. Then Dani went back to the barn and carefully led Smudge out front, being careful not to get her clothes dirty. Now, anyone passing by who might see the "Help Wanted" sign would also see a girl on a horse who looked like she stepped out of riding magazine.

The Gig was open!

Dite's Decadent Delights, Monday Afternoon

Karla was doing inventory today. Not of the store, but of her own private stash of teas, salves, herbs, and various other sundries. Unsurprisingly, she was running pretty low on certain things--particularly her hangover remedy. A day spent behind a table full of herbs was due pretty soon. Hmmm...and maybe a day making perfumes, too? Jaenelle's eighteenth birthday was drawing close and Karla was drawing a blank when it came to presents.

This school was in desperate need of a stillroom.

Wellspring Arms and Meditation Center, Monday

Price's shift at Wellspring was marked mainly by the odd fact that he was wearing a Hawaiian shirt, and was listening to a top-40 radio station as he worked.

He looked utterly uncomfortable and wasn't enjoying the music at all. This 'civilian' project wasn't working out for him.

While it wasn't her normal shift, Robin was happy for the change of pace. Maybe exciting things happened in the bar on Mondays! Maybe Tino was replaced with some hot guy she could ogle and order around! (Married or not, she wasn't blind.) Maybe there were drink specials that included free beer for the bartender!

Oh, wait, that was every night.

In any case, Robin was really quite disappointed when she wandered into the bar and discovered that Monday was no different from Tuesday at all. Tino included.
