The Boards -- CASTING -- Sunday

Given the... diversity... of the auditions he had received on Wednesday, Genesis was in a fine mood as he picked idly through his scripts today. He smirked a bit, wondering at what reactions they would get upon seeing his chosen script for the play. Everything, of course, was already set up.

The people of Fandom were certainly enthusiastic, even if the majority of them had little skill to speak of. But some of them, some of them had potential.

And some of them just greatly amused him.

Which was its own value, push come to shove.

Triela took a moment to read over the monologue. Twice.

"This is ridiculous," she complained, her tone calm and business-like. "You seriously want me to do this one?"

"Amy is ridiculous," Triela complained. But, well... whatever.

She read over the monologue twice more, committing it to memory, and handed Genesis the script back. She might have been showing off a little bit with that.

After a deep breath, Triela shrugged out of her jacket, imagined Hilshire tried to bench her the way Marco had benched Angelica, and began pacing tensely back and forth.

"Don't you dare walk away from me!" Triela began. And it turned out she could do righteous indignation quite convincingly. The lines may have been a bit wooden, but not too wooden.

Of course the parts where she had to talk about emotions, or about being human, well... those weren't so convincing.

She couldn't be perfect at everything, after all.

"... And you will regret it always."

Triela blinked as she came to a sudden stop. Why was she thinking about Leto?

Yes. It was, wasn't it?

"Maybe. Or maybe it's because her emotions are ridiculous. What is she so upset about?"

"It says right at the top," Triela scowled. "He led her on, sexually or whatever, and then let her down."

Triela sounded quite clinical in her analysis there.

Triela shook her head. "She's getting all worked up over something that's not important. She's... too emotionally invested."

"There are more important things," Triela shrugged.

"I mean... sure people get hurt by those they love, but that happens all the time. It seems silly to let it have such an effect."

"Almost anything?" Triela suggested. "It's not like her life won't go on. She says so herself. So what's the point of getting so upset over it?"

"She sounds like a spoiled little teenager."

"Which just goes to show that she lacks perspective." Someone had Opinions.

"She needs to gain it faster."

"It's immature." And apparently high schoolers weren't allowed to be. At least not teenagers like Triela.

Triela just scowled.

Apparently she had.
